Gardenscapes now has a three-tier Garden Pass with Free, Golden and Epic rewards. See all 30 stages, prices, cards, bonuses, and key differences.
A major change has appeared in one of our newer Gardenscapes accounts. The Garden Pass on this account no longer has just the familiar Free track and the €9.99 paid track. A third tier has now been added: the Epic Pass for €19.99.
This is especially interesting because it fits the shift toward premium convenience that we started tracking months ago. This version of the Garden Pass lasts close to a month, contains 30 stages, and now gives players three separate reward tracks: Free, Golden Pass and Epic Pass.
There is also one very important detail: Golden and Epic are not mutually exclusive. On the account where we recorded this version, the player can buy the €9.99 Golden Pass and also buy the €19.99 Epic Pass. In other words, the game is not simply asking players to choose one paid tier or the other. Both paid tracks can be unlocked during the same Garden Pass.
We Had Been Watching for Exactly This Kind of Change
Back in May, we argued that the Garden Pass was becoming one of the clearest examples of Playrix's changing monetization strategy. The free game would remain available, but more convenience, speed and value would gradually move into premium systems.
That first analysis got the overall direction right, although the Garden Pass still had a simple two-track structure at the time: Free and paid. What we are seeing now takes that idea one step further. There are two paid layers sitting above the Free track.
Our June analysis went even further. We said the Garden Pass could become increasingly important and that Gardenscapes might eventually introduce additional premium reward paths while keeping the basic game free to play.
We did not predict the name Epic Pass, and we did not predict a €19.99 price point. What we predicted was the direction. And that prediction now appears to be playing out inside the game.

Which Packs Are Actually Sapphire Packs?
This distinction matters. Not every six-card pack is a Sapphire Pack. We use the Sapphire name only when the six-card pack specifically guarantees one NEW Gold Card.
That means the Free track has no Sapphire Packs and no guaranteed new Gold Cards. It does include regular six-card packs, but those are not Sapphire Packs.
The Golden Pass has one Sapphire Pack, at Stage 30. That gives the Golden track one guaranteed NEW Gold Card.
The Epic Pass has three Sapphire Packs, at Stages 20, 25 and 30. That means the Epic track includes three separate guaranteed NEW Gold Cards.
The Card Difference Is Bigger Than 43 vs. 60 vs. 72
All three tracks have 12 stages that award card packs, but the number of cards inside those packs changes quite a bit. Free gives 43 cards, Golden gives 60, and Epic gives 72.
The bigger difference, though, is not simply the card count. When a player is close to completing a collection, getting a guaranteed new card can matter much more than opening several regular packs that may be filled with duplicates.
That is where Epic clearly separates itself from the other two tracks. Free has no guaranteed NEW Gold Cards. Golden has one. Epic has three.
This also brings the Card Collection and the Garden Pass much closer together. The most expensive Pass tier is not just handing out extra boosters and Coins. It can directly improve a player's chances of finishing another major event in the game.
What Do the Three Tracks Give in Total?
Before counting the Bonus that becomes available after Stage 30, the three tracks include the following rewards:
- Free: 43 cards, 500 Coins, 7 Bombs, 5 Dynamites, 5 Rainbow Blasts, 4 Shovels, 2 Desk Fans, 2 Kettlebells, 2 Darts and 75 minutes of unlimited Lives.
- Golden Pass: 60 cards, 2,500 Coins, 8 Bombs, 6 Dynamites, 4 Rainbow Blasts, 8 Shovels, 3 Desk Fans, 2 Kettlebells, 1 Dart, 165 minutes of unlimited Lives, 60 minutes of unlimited Bomb and 105 minutes of unlimited Dynamite.
- Epic Pass: 72 cards, 5,000 Coins, 16 Bombs, 12 Dynamites, 8 Rainbow Blasts, 16 Shovels, 6 Desk Fans, 4 Kettlebells, 2 Darts, 330 minutes of unlimited Lives, 120 minutes of unlimited Bomb and 210 minutes of unlimited Dynamite.
The two paid versions also raise the player's Lives immediately: 8 Lives with Golden and 10 Lives with Epic.
Epic Is Clearly Positioned as the Next Step Above Golden
The reward structure makes the relationship between the two paid tiers easy to see. In many categories, Epic gives exactly twice as much as Golden.
- 2,500 Coins become 5,000.
- 8 Shovels become 16.
- 8 Bombs become 16.
- 6 Dynamites become 12.
- 4 Rainbow Blasts become 8.
- 3 Desk Fans become 6.
- 2 Kettlebells become 4.
- 1 Dart becomes 2.
- 165 minutes of Lives become 330.
- 60 minutes of unlimited Bomb become 120.
- 105 minutes of unlimited Dynamite become 210.
The pricing follows almost the same pattern: €9.99 for Golden and €19.99 for Epic. Epic does not feel like a completely different product. It feels like the next premium step for a player who has already decided that spending money on the Garden Pass is worthwhile.
The card rewards are where things get even more interesting. Golden has one Sapphire Pack. Epic has three. So the extra €10 is not just buying more resources. It is also buying more certainty in the Card Collection.
The Biggest Detail: You Can Buy Both Paid Passes
This may be the most important part of the entire change. On the version we recorded, Golden and Epic can both be purchased on the same account.
That changes the whole picture. If Epic simply replaced Golden, Playrix would mainly be asking players whether they wanted to pay more for a stronger version of the Pass. Instead, the same player can unlock both paid tracks during the same Garden Pass period.
So Playrix has not just added a more expensive alternative. It has added another paid layer that can sit alongside the existing €9.99 Pass.
The decision is no longer simply, “Do I buy the Garden Pass or stay Free?” A player who is willing to spend now has another decision to make: how far into the premium system do they want to go?
The Bonus Continues After Stage 30
The premium difference does not stop at Stage 30. The Free track does not have access to the Bonus that opens after the main progression path is completed.
The Golden Pass opens the Golden Bonus, shown with a 0/5,000 counter, while the Epic Pass opens the Epic Bonus, shown with a 0/10,000 counter.
So the third tier is not just a stronger collection of rewards spread across the same 30 stages. The split between Free, Golden and Epic continues even after the main reward path is finished.
This Version Is Not on Every Account Yet
The three-tier Garden Pass is not currently showing up on all of our Gardenscapes accounts. We found it on a relatively new account that is still far below the very high levels of our main accounts.
That does not tell us exactly how Playrix is deciding which accounts receive it first. We already know that features and events can vary between player accounts, so anyone who still sees the older Garden Pass should not assume something is wrong with their game.
We are confident that this is an early rollout and that the three-tier structure will spread to more players and eventually show up across all accounts. Playrix has not officially confirmed a universal rollout yet, but this looks much more developed than a small reward test. It has a separate price, its own reward track, its own Sapphire rewards and its own Bonus after Stage 30.
So Were Our Earlier Predictions Right?
On the overall direction, yes.
Our May analysis correctly identified the move toward premium convenience, but at that point we were still looking at a Garden Pass built around two tracks. Our June article went a step further and predicted that additional premium reward paths could become part of the way Gardenscapes makes money.
This is where that second prediction starts to look especially relevant.
We argued that Playrix did not need to charge players simply to access Gardenscapes. It could keep the game free while charging more for time, convenience and faster progress. That is pretty much what we are seeing now.
The Free track is still there. It still gives players cards, Coins, boosters and Tools. Golden adds a much stronger premium layer. Epic then adds another layer above Golden, with larger rewards and more guaranteed NEW Gold Cards.
From One Paid Pass to a Premium Ladder
The old choice was easy to understand: stay Free or buy the Pass. With a second paid tier now appearing, it is becoming much easier to see why the Garden Pass itself could become more important to the overall Gardenscapes experience.
The new structure creates three levels:
- Free – participate without paying.
- Golden Pass €9.99 – unlock the first premium reward track.
- Epic Pass €19.99 – unlock the stronger premium reward track.
And because Golden and Epic can both be purchased, this is more than a three-column reward screen. Gardenscapes is starting to look like it has a multi-tier premium system built into a single Garden Pass season.
A Prediction Is Starting to Become Reality
It would not be accurate to say that we predicted a €19.99 Epic Pass specifically. We did not. What we predicted was that the Garden Pass would become more important, that additional premium reward paths would appear, and that Gardenscapes would increasingly make money from convenience, speed and access to better rewards.
That prediction is now starting to play out.
The next thing to watch is whether this three-tier system moves from the accounts currently receiving it to the wider player base. We believe it will. If Golden and Epic continue appearing together in future Garden Pass seasons, this will no longer look like a simple reward experiment. It will look like a major change in the way Gardenscapes monetizes one of its most important recurring systems.
All prices, 30 stages, rewards, Sapphire Packs and Bonus tracks in this article were recorded directly from a Garden Pass that appeared on one of our Gardenscapes accounts. We use the term Sapphire Pack only for the six-card pack that guarantees one NEW Gold Card. Regular six-card packs are not counted as Sapphire Packs.
