Beat The Heat is a daily Gardenscapes coin event where players build win streaks, open reward chests with keys, and can earn up to 1,550 coins.

Beat The Heat is a limited-time coin event in Gardenscapes. Unlike many other events, it does not reward players with boosters, cards, tools, or other items. The rewards are based only on coins, which players can win by completing stages and opening treasure chests.

The event is currently not available to all players. It appears to be in a testing phase and is being introduced gradually to selected groups of players. Beat The Heat has replaced Swamp Quest on some accounts, but the two events do not work in exactly the same way.

If you would like to watch the complete Beat The Heat event from start to finish, including all three stages, every treasure chest, and the final rewards, you can watch the full gameplay in our Gardenscapes Strategy Facebook Group or on our YouTube channel.

What Is Beat The Heat?

Beat The Heat is a daily win-streak event in Gardenscapes. The event consists of three stages. Players must complete match-3 levels without losing in order to finish each stage and move forward.

After a stage is completed, the player enters a reward room with treasure chests. The player receives a limited number of keys and chooses which chests to open. Some chests contain coins, while others may be empty.

Event Overview

  • Event Type: Daily win-streak coin event
  • Availability: Limited test release
  • Reward Type: Coins only
  • Stages: 3
  • Objective: Complete match-3 levels without losing
  • Chest System: Use keys to choose treasure chests
  • Possible Empty Chests: Yes
  • Maximum Reward: Up to 1,550 coins
  • Internet Connection: Required to start the event

How Beat The Heat Works

Players continue playing normal Gardenscapes levels while the event is active, which makes the event especially relevant for players who have already reached high levels in Gardenscapes.

Each stage requires the player to win levels without losing. If a level is lost, the progress for the current stage resets. This does not mean the whole event is over, but the current stage must be started again.

After completing a stage, players receive keys and enter a reward room. The player then chooses which treasure chests to open. The reward depends on what is inside the selected chests.

This makes Beat The Heat partly skill-based and partly luck-based. Winning levels without losing is the skill part. Choosing chests with unknown rewards is the luck part.

Stage 1

Stage 1 contains 5 treasure chests and provides 3 keys.

The maximum possible reward is 200 coins.

During this playthrough, the selected treasure chests awarded a total of 170 coins.

Stage 2

Stage 2 contains 6 treasure chests and provides 4 keys.

The maximum possible reward is 450 coins.

During this playthrough, the selected treasure chests awarded the full 450 coins.

Stage 3

Stage 3 contains 7 treasure chests and provides 5 keys.

The maximum possible reward is 900 coins.

During this playthrough, the first two selected chests were marked Empty.

The remaining selected chests awarded:

  • 150 coins
  • 200 coins
  • 300 coins

The total reward earned during Stage 3 was 650 coins.

Reward Summary

Stage Chests Keys Maximum Coins Coins Earned
Stage 1 5 3 200 170
Stage 2 6 4 450 450
Stage 3 7 5 900 650

Total Coins Earned

During this complete Beat The Heat playthrough, the player received:

  • 170 coins from Stage 1
  • 450 coins from Stage 2
  • 650 coins from Stage 3

This resulted in a total reward of 1,270 coins.

The theoretical maximum reward across all three stages is 1,550 coins. In this playthrough, 280 coins were missed because some selected chests were empty or did not contain the highest possible coin value.

Why The Maximum Reward Is Not Guaranteed

The values of 200, 450, and 900 coins represent the highest possible reward for each stage.

Players can choose which treasure chests to open, but they cannot see what is inside before opening them. Since some chests may be empty and others contain different coin values, the final reward is not guaranteed.

You can check the maximum possible coin reward by selecting the event gate before entering the stage.

How To Play Beat The Heat

  1. Start the Beat The Heat event.
  2. Play normal Gardenscapes match-3 levels.
  3. Win levels without losing to complete the current stage.
  4. If you lose a level, your progress for that stage resets.
  5. Complete the stage.
  6. Enter the reward room.
  7. Use your keys to choose treasure chests.
  8. Collect the coins from the chests you opened.
  9. Continue to the next stage.
  10. Finish all three stages before the daily reset.

Strategy Tips

  • Start the event only when you have enough time to play several levels.
  • Focus on protecting your win streak.
  • Use boosters early if a difficult level could reset your current stage, especially when managing coins, events and boosters matters.
  • Save tools for Hard and Super Hard levels.
  • Remember that chest rewards include an element of luck.
  • Do not expect the maximum reward every time.

Beat The Heat vs. Swamp Quest

Beat The Heat replaces Swamp Quest on selected accounts, but the biggest difference between the two events is the timer.

Swamp Quest gives players another 24 hours after the event is started. This means Swamp Quest can be carried over from one day to the next if the player starts it before the daily reset.

Beat The Heat works differently. It appears at the daily reset and must be both started and completed before the next daily reset. Once the day ends, the event resets and cannot be carried over like Swamp Quest.

This makes Beat The Heat more demanding. Players need enough time to complete all three stages during the same daily cycle.

This change also shows how Gardenscapes reward systems changed over time, especially in limited-time coin events.

Event Design

Beat The Heat uses an adventure-themed map with ancient statues, temples, gates, and three connected stages.

Instead of showing only a simple progress bar, the event presents a visual journey. Each stage feels like a separate step toward the final reward room.

The treasure chest mini-game is the main highlight of the event. It adds suspense after each stage because players must choose chests without knowing whether they contain coins or are empty.

The Luck Factor

Although players control their progress by winning levels without losing, they do not control the contents of the treasure chests.

Two players can complete the same three stages and receive different coin totals because the rewards depend on which chests they choose and what is inside them.

This is why Beat The Heat can feel exciting, but also risky. Completing the event does not always mean receiving the full 1,550 coins.

Final Thoughts

Beat The Heat is a simple but interesting Gardenscapes coin event. It is currently being tested on selected accounts and replaces Swamp Quest for some players.

The event challenges players to complete three stages by winning match-3 levels without losing. If a player loses a level, the current stage progress resets, making the event heavily focused on win streaks.

During this playthrough, the maximum possible reward was 1,550 coins, while the actual reward earned was 1,270 coins.

Its daily reset structure, three-stage progression, key-based chest selection, and random rewards make Beat The Heat easy to understand but not completely predictable.
