Gardenscapes levels 20,196–20,245 reviewed with difficulty notes, new Statue and Snail elements, weekly events, coin costs, and a full gameplay playlist.

The latest weekly Gardenscapes release includes levels 20,196 through 20,245, and it felt completely different from the previous week. After an exceptionally difficult batch of levels that we described as a killer week, this release offered a much smoother and more forgiving experience overall.

The difference wasn't limited to the Hard and Super Hard levels. Last week, even several regular levels were surprisingly challenging. In this new batch of 50 levels, however, progression felt much more consistent, and we never ran into a truly frustrating roadblock.

Overall Impression

To complete all 50 new levels, we had to purchase five extra moves three times. That means we spent a total of 2,700 coins on continues.

Compared to last week's release, this was a relatively small cost and confirms that this week's levels were much easier to manage. Most levels could be completed without long delays, provided you made good use of your boosters and available tools.

Difficulty Breakdown

Unlike last week, which didn't include a single One Shot level, this release returned to a more typical distribution of special levels.

  • 10 Hard Levels
  • 6 Super Hard Levels
  • 5 One Shot Levels

Although several levels required careful planning and smart move management, none of them stood out as a true killer level. There wasn't a single stage that kept us stuck for an extended period or forced us to burn through an excessive number of coins and boosters.

The Levels That Deserve Extra Attention

The week both begins and ends with a Super Hard level. The opening level, 20,196, is noticeably tougher than most of the week's lineup.

Level 20,205, a Hard level, also deserves a little extra attention. It isn't brutally difficult, but it requires better planning and careful move management.

Among the regular levels, 20,233 and 20,239 are the ones worth taking a closer look at before making your first move. Both have the potential to catch players off guard.

Overall, though, even these levels wouldn't qualify as truly difficult. They simply stand out in what was otherwise a fairly easy and well-balanced weekly release.

Two New Elements Officially Arrived

This weekly release officially introduced two new elements to Gardenscapes:

Adding two new elements in the same weekly release made the level design more interesting without dramatically increasing the overall difficulty.

Both mechanics were introduced gradually, giving players time to understand how they work instead of immediately turning their debut levels into extreme challenges.

This Week's Events

For the second week in a row, Electric Showdown did not appear, and Hit the Target was also absent.

The events that launched alongside this week's new levels were:

  • Golf
  • Gnome Treasure
  • Team Chest

Also appearing alongside the other events was Flower Treasure, a seven-day offer that begins with three free rewards. Additional rewards become available after purchasing the premium version.

Team Chest once again encouraged players to work together with their teammates, while Golf and Gnome Treasure provided additional goals and rewards as players progressed through the new levels.

The Advantages We Had While Playing

We completed all 50 new levels with a fully charged Magic Hat, giving us access to all of its available bonuses and rewards from the very beginning of each level.

We also benefited from boosters and rewards earned during the BlackBerry Treasure event.

On some of the more demanding levels, we used additional pre-game boosters as well as in-level tools whenever they proved necessary.

Because of these advantages, our progress through all 50 levels was generally smooth and consistent. That's why our overall difficulty assessment should always be viewed in the context of the conditions under which we played.

Difficulty Can Vary From Player to Player

Our evaluation of this weekly release is based entirely on our own experience completing all 50 new levels. While we found this to be a relatively easy and player-friendly week, that doesn't necessarily mean everyone will have the same experience.

Some players may clear these levels even more easily, using fewer boosters or without buying any extra moves at all. Others may find them considerably more challenging, especially if they don't have a fully charged Magic Hat or bonus rewards from concurrent events.

Difficulty in Gardenscapes is influenced by many different factors, including the initial board layout, available boosters, in-level tools, event rewards, and each player's individual strategy.

For that reason, our observations shouldn't be viewed as an absolute rating. A level that felt easy for us could be difficult for someone else, while a level where we had to buy five extra moves might be cleared on the first attempt by another player.

Levels 20,146–20,195

Comparing the two releases highlights just how dramatically the game's difficulty balance can change from one week to the next. Last week's release was exceptionally demanding, while levels 20,196–20,245 delivered a much smoother and better-balanced experience.

Conclusion

Levels 20,196–20,245 were a welcome change after the previous killer week. Difficulty returned to more normal levels, the distribution of Hard, Super Hard, and One Shot levels felt balanced, and no individual level stood out as truly exhausting.

With only three purchases of extra moves, totaling 2,700 coins, we completed all 50 levels without any major setbacks. Levels 20,196, 20,205, 20,233, and 20,239 deserve a little extra attention, but overall this week's release was far more forgiving than the previous one.

The official debut of the Statue and Snail added fresh variety to the level design, while Golf, Gnome Treasure, and Team Chest rounded out the week's event schedule.
