Learn how Gardenscapes Expeditions work, how to earn and use Energy, complete quests, open Secret Gates and reach the Grand Prize before it ends.

Expeditions are among the largest and most complex limited-time events in Gardenscapes. They are not played like ordinary match-3 levels and do not rely solely on completing one level after another. Instead, the action temporarily moves to a separate map, where players follow a self-contained story, remove obstacles, use Energy, search for required items, unlock new areas, and attempt to reach the final reward before the event ends.

The basic idea appears simple: you earn Energy by completing regular levels and use it to clear paths on the map. In practice, however, an Expedition consists of several interconnected systems. These include the main story, consecutive quests, locked areas, items required for certain tasks, Secret Gates, Chests, scattered bonuses, Gemstone Fever, and the optional benefits provided by the Expedition Pass. To play efficiently, you need to understand what each element does and which actions genuinely advance the event.

What Is an Expedition in Gardenscapes?

An Expedition is an exploration event in which players visit a location separate from the main garden. The area is initially covered or inaccessible and is gradually revealed as quests are completed and obstacles blocking the route are removed.

Each Expedition has its own story, map, characters, items, and final objective. The theme may change from one event to another, but the fundamental mechanics remain the same. Players must complete all the main story quests within the available time to reach the end of the story and claim the Grand Prize.

An Expedition does not replace the regular game. Standard match-3 levels are still necessary because they are one of the primary sources of Energy. This connects two different progression loops: players complete levels to earn Energy and then return to the Expedition map to spend it.

How to Enter an Expedition

Playrix officially describes the access button as being located near the lower-right area of the main screen, although its exact appearance and position may vary depending on the game version, active events, and player segmentation.

After opening the event, the player is taken to a separate map. The opening scene introduces the story, followed by the first quest. From that point onward, progress follows a chain: each completed task leads to the next one, and additional sections of the map are gradually revealed.

What Are the Participation Requirements?

Expeditions are available to accounts that have reached level 43 or higher. This requirement refers to progress in the main game rather than a separate rank within the event.

Playrix also states that the event is available on supported iOS and Android devices with more than 1 GB of free storage space. Available storage is important because the temporary map includes additional graphics, animations, and event data that must be downloaded and loaded by the device.

Playrix further explains that once the event has started while the device is connected to the internet, it may be possible to continue playing without a constant connection. However, initial activation, progress synchronization, and certain game features may still require internet access.

The Real Objective of an Expedition

The main objective is not to clear every visible object from the map. The official goal is to complete the main story quests and obtain the final reward before the event timer expires.

This is one of the most important distinctions to understand. The map may contain many optional routes, Chests, Secret Gates, and collectible items, but not all of them are required to finish the story. The main path is determined by the active quests displayed in the Expedition task tablet or quest book.

Exploring the entire map can provide additional rewards, but it is a separate objective from completing the story. Players should first identify which actions are required for the main quest and which areas contain optional content.

Energy Is the Main Expedition Resource

Almost every action on the Expedition map requires Energy. It is used to remove bushes, rocks, logs, crates, debris, and other objects blocking the route. Without Energy, exploration cannot continue, even when the next quest objective is already known.

Each obstacle displays its Energy cost before it is removed. The player can see how much Energy is required and decide whether to spend it. Once selected, the corresponding amount is deducted from the Energy bar, and the object disappears or triggers the relevant story action.

Not all obstacles cost the same amount. Smaller objects may require only a small amount of Energy, while larger or more important obstacles may cost significantly more. The cost is not based solely on the physical size of the object. It may also reflect its location on the intended route, the pacing of progression, and the total cost of the current quest.

How to Get More Expedition Energy

Playrix lists several main ways to replenish Expedition Energy:

  • Completing regular match-3 levels.
  • Completing Golden League levels after reaching the end of the currently available regular levels.
  • Collecting Energy items and rewards found on the Expedition map, including bonuses behind Secret Gates.
  • Waiting for Energy to regenerate automatically over time.
  • Purchasing Energy with coins through the Energy Shop.
  • Purchasing additional Energy with real money through offers that may appear when the available Energy runs out.

The Energy bar is located at the top of the Expedition screen. Selecting it allows the player to view available replenishment options, including purchases made with coins. The exact amount provided by each source, the maximum capacity of the Energy bar, and the available offers may vary depending on the game version and event configuration.

Energy from Regular Levels

The primary connection between the Expedition and the main game is formed through regular match-3 levels. Successfully completing a level awards Energy that can be used on the Expedition map. If the level is lost, it is not considered completed and does not provide the normal victory reward.

This means an Expedition does not progress independently from the main levels. When the available Energy runs out, the player returns to the match-3 game, earns more Energy by winning levels, and then continues exploring. The more levels completed during the event, the more actions can be performed on the map.

Energy from the Golden League

When an account has completed all currently available regular levels, the player can continue playing in the Golden League. Golden League levels can also provide Expedition Energy, allowing players at the highest available point of progression to continue participating in the event.

Automatic Energy Regeneration

Energy regenerates for free over time until the bar reaches its maximum capacity. When the bar is full, automatic regeneration stops because there is no available space for additional Energy.

Automatic regeneration allows some progress even without continually winning match-3 levels. However, because each section of the map usually requires several obstacles to be removed, naturally generated Energy mainly serves as a supplementary source rather than the only source needed to complete an entire Expedition. One point of Energy is added every three minutes, and regeneration stops when the bar reaches 100 points.

Energy Found on the Map

Energy items can appear throughout the Expedition map. Some are located close to the main route, while others may be hidden along optional side paths. Collecting them increases the available Energy and may allow exploration to continue immediately, although occasional Energy display issues can temporarily make the amount shown on screen look incorrect.

However, players should consider whether reaching an Energy item requires spending Energy first. A visible reward is not always a net gain. If several obstacles must be removed to access an optional path, part or all of the reward may simply compensate for the cost of reaching it.

Buying Energy with Coins

When there is not enough Energy to continue, the game may offer the option to purchase more with coins. This is an optional use of the game’s currency. Coins are also needed for other purposes, including purchasing additional moves after a failed level, so spending them on an Expedition affects the account’s remaining resources.

Energy Does Not Carry Over to the Next Expedition

Playrix states that Expedition Energy does not transfer to the next Expedition. Each event is separate and begins with its own Energy supply and starting conditions. When the event ends, any unused Energy is not stored for a future Expedition.

This becomes particularly important near the end of the event. Saving a large amount of Energy provides no benefit after the timer expires. As long as content and time remain, Energy should be used in the current Expedition, either to complete the main story or to pursue post-story quests and optional rewards.

How the Expedition Map Works

The map begins with limited visibility. Large sections may be covered by fog or remain inaccessible. As the correct obstacles are removed and quests are completed, new areas open and additional points of interest are revealed.

Progress is not made by selecting random objects. The player must create an accessible route from the characters’ current position to the next objective. If an object cannot be selected, it usually means the route has not yet been opened or another quest must be completed first.

Playrix explains that certain areas unlock only after specific quests have been completed. Therefore, even when an area appears visually close, it may remain inaccessible until the story has progressed far enough.

The Expedition Quest Tablet

A tablet, book, or similar quest button appears near the lower-left area of the Expedition screen. Its appearance may change according to the theme, but its purpose is to display the active objective and direct the player toward the next step.

According to the official help information, the tablet:

  • Displays the next quest.
  • Shows the objectives that must be completed.
  • Directs the player toward the correct area of the map.
  • Provides a hint when the required item or location is unclear.

Using the tablet prevents unnecessary route clearing. When the active quest is selected, the camera may move toward the relevant location or display a directional indicator. This makes it easier to identify which section of the map is connected to the main story.

How Main Story Quests Are Completed

The main story consists of consecutive quests. Each quest requires a specific action, such as reaching a location, examining a structure, finding an item, repairing something, or opening a new area.

To complete a quest, the route usually needs to be cleared first. The player removes the obstacles between the characters and the objective. Once the route is open, the quest object or location can be selected to trigger the next part of the story.

Some tasks are completed immediately after the player reaches the correct point. Others require one or more special resources. In these cases, the tablet shows which item is missing and may reveal where it can be found.

The Two Chapters and Eight Main Rewards

The main story of a modern Expedition is not presented as a single mission with only one reward at the end. It is divided into two chapters, and each chapter contains four consecutive reward milestones. This allows players to claim a total of eight main rewards while completing both chapters.

The Four Rewards in the First Chapter

As the quests in the first chapter are completed, its progress bar gradually fills. A reward becomes available at four different milestones. The fourth reward corresponds to completing the first chapter and unlocking the next phase of the story.

The Four Rewards in the Second Chapter

The second chapter follows the same general structure. It contains four additional reward milestones that unlock as the new quests are completed. The fourth reward of the second chapter is connected to completing the main Expedition story.

What the Rewards May Contain

The exact contents are not identical in every Expedition. Rewards may include Expedition Energy, coins, unlimited lives, boosters, starting power-ups, tools, or special reward packages. A specific reward list should not be presented as permanent for every Expedition unless it refers to a named event and has been confirmed through its reward screen.

The eight rewards from the main story are separate from bonuses found on the map, Gemstone Fever rewards, Chests, and Secret Gates. These are additional reward sources and should not be counted among the four milestones in each chapter.

The Titles Awarded for Completing the Chapters

In addition to the main rewards, completing each chapter awards a special Title that appears on the player’s profile.

Completing all four stages of the first chapter awards the Explorer title. It represents the completion of the first major section of the Expedition story.

Completing all four stages of the second chapter, and therefore the entire main Expedition story, awards the Grand Explorer title. This is the highest title connected to the main story and confirms that the player successfully completed both Expedition chapters.

Quests That Require Special Resources

Opening a direct route is not always enough. Some quests require special items located elsewhere on the map. These may include tools, keys, components, or other objects connected to the event’s story.

When a quest cannot continue because a resource is missing, the task description should be checked. The tablet may move the camera toward the location of the required item. The player must then clear a route to it, collect it, and return to the original objective.

This explains why certain quests temporarily lead the player away from the apparent main direction. The detour is not optional when it leads to a resource required by the story.

Why Some Areas Remain Locked

Being unable to access an area does not necessarily indicate a technical problem. The map is controlled by the sequence of quests, and certain areas open only after a specific earlier task has been completed.

When no available obstacle leads toward the desired location, or when the location cannot be selected, the active quest should be checked. There is often another objective elsewhere within the already accessible map. Completing it may activate the next area.

How to Identify the Correct Route

The safest method is to follow the direction provided by the quest tablet. The game has a designed main route even when many removable objects appear around it.

Near a major objective, two or more possible paths may be visible. One may lead toward the quest, while another leads to an optional reward. Removing every available obstacle increases the Energy cost without necessarily advancing the story.

Before removing an object, it is useful to examine what lies behind it. If it is positioned directly along the route toward the active objective, it is probably part of the main progression. If it leads to a dead end containing a bonus, Chest, or decorative feature, it is more likely to be an optional branch.

Main Route and Optional Exploration

Expeditions allow much more exploration than the main story requires. This creates two different ways to spend Energy.

On the main route, Energy is used to complete quests and secure the Grand Prize. On optional routes, it is used to obtain additional coins, Energy, boosters, Chests, and other rewards.

Optional exploration is not necessarily a mistake. It can provide valuable rewards and contribute to parallel event systems. However, it uses the same limited Energy required to finish the main story, which is one reason events sometimes feel harder than expected.

When plenty of time remains and the main story is progressing steadily, side paths can also be explored. When the event is close to ending and the story remains unfinished, priority should return to the mandatory quests.

What Are the Items Found on the Map?

As the map is revealed, various collectible objects and bonuses appear. Playrix specifically mentions Energy and coins, although the exact selection of rewards may differ between Expeditions.

Some items are collected once the path to them is opened. Others may require a separate selection or a small additional Energy cost. Certain objects are not free rewards at all but resources required for a specific quest.

Map items should always be interpreted in relation to the active objective. An object may be a bonus, a required quest resource, a key for a Secret Gate, or a collectible connected to a Chest. Its purpose is usually indicated by its icon, description, or the reaction of the quest tablet.

What Are Secret Gates?

Secret Gates are locked entrances leading to optional rewards. They may provide Energy, boosters, and coins, although the number of Secret Gates can depend on the structure of the current Expedition.

Opening a Secret Gate requires a special key hidden somewhere on the map. The gate cannot be opened with Energy alone and cannot be bypassed simply by removing the surrounding obstacles. The correct key must first be found and collected.

Obtaining the key may require further story progress or the opening of a particular route. Once the key becomes available and the player reaches the gate, the heavy doors open and reveal the rewards behind them.

Are Secret Gates Required?

Playrix explains that some Secret Gates are not necessary for completing the Expedition. This means they are mainly optional content and should not be confused with doors or passages that belong to the main story.

The value of a Secret Gate depends on its rewards and the cost of reaching both the key and the gate. Its contents may return some Energy and provide boosters or coins, but accessing it may require several additional obstacles to be removed.

If the main story is unfinished and little time remains, optional gates can be left until later. After the main story has been completed, they become useful targets for continued exploration.

What Are Chests?

Chests are reward containers located throughout the Expedition map. According to the official help information, they contain treasures such as Energy and other rewards, but they may not open immediately after being discovered.

Opening a Chest may require collecting specific items scattered across the map. The requirement is displayed on the Chest or in the relevant event indicator. After all required objects have been collected, the Chest unlocks and its reward can be claimed.

Are Chests Required to Complete the Expedition?

Chests are not required to complete the Expedition. They serve as additional sources of Energy and rewards that may strengthen or accelerate progress.

Collecting all the objects needed for a Chest is therefore a separate objective from completing the main story. If the required items are located on or near the main route, the Chest may be opened at a relatively small additional cost. If they are scattered across distant optional routes, much more Energy may be required.

Before searching for Chest items, players should check how many are missing and where they are located. If part of the map is still locked by the story, completing the Chest may not yet be possible.

What Is Gemstone Fever?

Gemstone Fever is a companion event that runs alongside an Expedition. Playrix explains that it accompanies Expeditions and rewards players for spending Energy.

Its function is different from that of the main story. In the Expedition, Energy is spent to clear the map. In Gemstone Fever, the same Energy consumption is recorded as progress toward a series of rewards.

In other words, spending Energy on eligible actions on the map also fills the Gemstone Fever progress bar. No separate gameplay mode is required. Participation occurs automatically through normal Expedition actions.

How Many Stages Does Gemstone Fever Have?

The current official Playrix description states that Gemstone Fever consists of 15 stages, with each stage offering a reward. To claim the next reward, the corresponding Energy-spending requirement must be completed.

The requirements may increase as players advance through the stages. The exact amounts and rewards are displayed inside the event and should be checked in the current version because the numbers and prizes may be changed.

How Gemstone Fever Affects Expedition Strategy

Gemstone Fever gives additional value to Energy that is already being spent. Removing an obstacle advances the map and may simultaneously advance the companion event. However, this does not mean every use of Energy is equally valuable for the main story.

Spending Energy in optional areas may provide Gemstone Fever progress without bringing the player closer to the Expedition Grand Prize. When finishing the story is the main objective, it is more efficient to spend the necessary Energy along the main route, especially if another feature such as Explosive Rewards is running at the same time.

After the story has been completed, or once completion is safely within reach, optional areas, Chests, and Secret Gates can be used to spend additional Energy and complete more Gemstone Fever stages.

How to Calculate the Cost of a Route

The true cost of a quest is not merely the price of the final object. It is the total cost of every obstacle that must be removed to reach the objective.

If a task is located behind five obstacles, the Energy cost of all five must be added together. If a required resource is then located elsewhere, the route to that resource must also be included. A quest that appears simple may therefore require several hundred points of Energy.

The best estimate is made by examining the entire visible route before beginning to remove obstacles. Not every future object will be visible because sections of the map remain covered, but obvious side branches that do not lead toward the active objective can often be avoided.

Why Clearing Every Obstacle Is Inefficient

Obstacles do not function as a general completion meter. The game does not require every bush, rock, crate, or pile of debris to disappear before the story can be completed. Many objects exist to form optional routes and conceal additional rewards.

Removing an obstacle without first checking its direction can consume Energy that may later be needed for the main route. This mistake is particularly common in areas containing several visible rewards or where the fog creates the impression that every possible opening is necessary.

The correct question is not whether an obstacle can be removed, but whether it needs to be removed for the current objective. Being able to select an object does not mean it is a mandatory step.

A Practical Order of Priorities

A reliable progression order for an Expedition is:

  1. Check the active quest in the tablet.
  2. Identify the location indicated by the quest.
  3. Open the shortest accessible route toward the objective.
  4. Collect any mandatory resource required by the task.
  5. Complete the quest and activate the next one.
  6. Collect nearby bonuses only when they do not require a major detour.
  7. Open optional Secret Gates and Chests when enough Energy is available or after the main story has progressed sufficiently.

This order does not prevent exploration. It simply keeps the main story as the central reference point so that the available Energy is not scattered across unrelated routes without moving closer to the final reward.

What to Do When Energy Runs Out

When the Energy bar does not contain enough points for the next obstacle, the main options are to return to match-3 levels, wait for automatic regeneration, collect accessible Energy from the map, or purchase Energy with coins.

Before using coins, players should consider how much Energy is missing and how close they are to receiving free Energy through regeneration or another level victory. Deciding when to spend coins can make a significant difference during long Expeditions.

If an Energy item is located close to an already open route, it may provide immediate progress. If reaching it requires a long optional detour, the access cost should be calculated rather than looking only at the advertised reward.

How Unlimited Lives and Boosters Help

Unlimited lives and boosters do not directly remove obstacles from the Expedition map. Their value is indirect: they help players complete more match-3 levels, which in turn provide more Energy.

A timed unlimited-lives bonus is most useful when the player has enough time to complete several consecutive levels. If it is activated and then left unused, its timer continues to decrease. During an Expedition, it can be converted into additional Energy only when the player wins levels while it is active.

Boosters may also reduce the number of failed attempts on difficult levels. However, they do not change the Energy cost of obstacles on the Expedition map. Match-3 resource management and Expedition Energy management should therefore be treated as two separate systems.

What Happens After the Main Story Is Completed?

Completing the main storyline does not always close the map immediately. The reason an Expedition continues after the main tasks is that Playrix divides the event into the main story and additional post-story quests.

After the main story ends, additional tasks may become available, allowing players to explore the location more deeply and continue collecting rewards. The exact content depends on the specific Expedition and on how much of the map remains unexplored.

At this stage, priorities change. The Grand Prize has already been secured, so Energy can be directed toward post-story quests, Secret Gates, Chests, hidden bonuses, and remaining Gemstone Fever stages.

What Are Post-Story Quests?

Post-story quests are tasks that become available after completing the main narrative section. They should not be confused with the mandatory quests leading to the Grand Prize.

Their purpose is to extend exploration, make use of areas that were not needed during the main story, and provide additional rewards while the Expedition remains active.

Their existence explains why locked or unexplored areas may remain even after the main storyline has ended. The map is designed to offer more gameplay than the minimum route required to obtain the Grand Prize.

What Happens When the Expedition Ends?

Expeditions are limited-time events. A countdown shows how much time remains. To obtain the final reward, the main story must be completed before the timer reaches zero.

After the event ends, access to the map closes and unused Expedition Energy does not transfer to the next event. It should therefore not be treated as a permanent account resource.

As the end approaches, players should check three things: how many main quests remain, how much Energy is available, and how much real time is available to complete more match-3 levels. Optional exploration becomes less important when the main story is still unfinished.

How to Manage the Event Time Efficiently

An Expedition does not need to be played in a single session. Automatic Energy regeneration and the Energy gained from levels encourage gradual progress.

Entering the event regularly allows players to spend Energy before the bar becomes full and free regeneration stops. They can then return to regular levels and generate additional Energy.

Leaving the Energy bar full for long periods means losing potential free regeneration. On the other hand, spending Energy continuously without checking the route can lead to waste. Efficient play requires a balance between regular Energy use and careful target selection.

The Mistakes That Delay Progress the Most

Clearing the Entire Visible Area

Removing every obstacle around the characters is unnecessary. Quests require specific routes rather than the complete clearing of the map.

Opening Every Optional Path at the Beginning

Chests, Secret Gates, and bonuses can be useful, but searching for them before advancing the main story can dramatically increase Energy consumption.

Ignoring the Quest Tablet

Without checking the active quest, it is easy to clear a path in the wrong direction. The tablet exists specifically to identify the next mandatory objective.

Confusing a Quest Resource with a Bonus

An object may be required for a quest rather than serving as an optional reward. When a task does not progress, players should check whether a specific resource is missing.

Saving Energy Until the Event Ends

Energy does not carry over to the next Expedition. If content remains available, excessive saving near the end of the event provides no future benefit.

Using Coins Without Calculating the Cost

Purchasing Energy may be fast, but coins are also needed in match-3 levels. The decision should consider the account’s total coin balance and how close the player is to the next free Energy source.

Can an Expedition Be Completed Without Opening the Entire Map?

Yes. The official structure clearly separates the main story from optional content. Secret Gates and Chests are described as useful but unnecessary sources of rewards. The existence of post-story quests also shows that part of the exploration may continue after the main storyline has already been completed.

To obtain the Grand Prize, players must complete the main story quests. They do not need to remove every obstacle or collect every bonus unless a particular item is required by an active quest.

Is It Worth Collecting Every Reward?

The rewards can be valuable, but they are not always free in terms of Energy. A reward may be hidden behind obstacles that cost more than expected.

An effective evaluation should consider:

  • The total Energy cost of the route.
  • The type and amount of the reward.
  • Whether the route is connected to a main quest.
  • How much time remains before the event ends.
  • How much of the main story remains unfinished.
  • Whether the Energy consumption also advances Gemstone Fever.

A nearby reward requiring only one small obstacle may be a sensible choice. A distant reward hidden behind an entire optional branch is usually better left until the main story has been secured.

How to Play an Expedition from Beginning to End

At the beginning, the event opens and introduces the main story. The player checks the first quest and uses the initial Energy supply to clear a route toward the objective.

When Energy becomes low, the player returns to match-3 levels or waits for automatic regeneration. Winning levels creates more Energy, which is then spent on the next obstacles.

Each completed quest reveals another area or activates a new objective. If a special resource is required, the tablet shows where it can be found. The player follows the indicated route, collects it, and continues the story.

Bonuses, Chests, Secret Gates, and optional paths appear throughout the journey. Those located near the main route can be collected without a major detour. More distant rewards can be left until later.

Spending Energy also advances Gemstone Fever and unlocks its consecutive rewards. The main story continues until the final quest has been completed and the Grand Prize has been claimed.

After the story ends, the event may continue through post-story quests and optional exploration. Remaining Energy should be used before the event expires because it does not transfer to the next Expedition.

Frequently Asked Questions About Expeditions

Are Stars Required to Play an Expedition?

Stars from the main garden are not the primary resource used in an Expedition. Progress on the temporary map depends on Expedition Energy and the completion of its special quests.

Do Match-3 Levels Need to Be Completed?

Yes. Regular levels and Golden League levels are major sources of Energy. Automatic regeneration and Energy items found on the map provide additional amounts, but winning levels remains a central part of the gameplay loop.

Can Expedition Energy Be Purchased?

Yes. The official help information describes the option to purchase Expedition Energy with coins through the shop opened from the Energy bar. Offers that provide Energy in exchange for real money may also appear.

Does Energy Carry Over to the Next Event?

No. Playrix states that unused Energy does not transfer to the next Expedition.

Are All Secret Gates Required?

No. Some Secret Gates are optional and provide additional Energy, boosters, and coins.

Are All Chests Required?

No. Chests provide extra rewards and may support progression, but they are not required to complete the main story.

Why Will an Area Not Open?

Certain areas unlock only after a specific quest has been completed. The player should check the quest tablet for the current objective and for any required resource that has not yet been collected.

What Happens After the Final Quest?

Post-story quests and additional exploration may become available after the main story, provided that the event is still active.

Does the Entire Map Need to Be Opened?

No. Only the mandatory quests are required for main completion. Fully clearing the map is connected to optional exploration and additional rewards.

What Happens If the Device Does Not Have Enough Storage Space?

Playrix states that more than 1 GB of free storage space is required on supported iOS and Android devices. Insufficient storage may prevent the additional event data from loading correctly.

The Core Expedition Mechanism

Expeditions convert progress in match-3 levels into exploration. Victories generate Energy, Energy removes obstacles, open routes lead to quests, and completed quests move the story toward the Grand Prize.

Several optional reward systems surround this central loop, including map bonuses, Chests, Secret Gates, Gemstone Fever, and post-story quests. All of them use or affect the same Energy supply, but they are not equally important for completing the main story.

The correct approach is not to remove every object that appears. Players should follow the active objective, calculate the route, collect required resources, and respond carefully when a mechanic such as the torches used in an Expedition changes how a section of the map must be opened.

Conclusion

To play an Expedition efficiently, players must first understand that completing the main story and fully exploring the map are not the same objective. The Grand Prize is connected to finishing the story quests, while Chests, Secret Gates, and many map bonuses provide optional reward opportunities.

Energy is the defining resource. It can be obtained from regular levels, Golden League levels, automatic regeneration, map items, Secret Gates, purchases made with coins, and optional paid offers. Managing it efficiently follows many of the same principles used by top Gardenscapes players.

The quest tablet is the main navigation tool. It shows what must be done, where the next objective is located, and which resource is missing. Using it consistently reduces unnecessary detours and keeps the main story as the priority.

After the main storyline has been completed, post-story quests and continued exploration allow players to collect additional rewards. Because unused Energy does not transfer to the next Expedition, it should be spent before the event ends.

Ultimately, Expeditions are not simply maps filled with removable obstacles. They are structured systems involving limited-resource management, route selection, and consecutive objectives. Players who distinguish the main path from optional content can progress more accurately, avoid unnecessary Energy costs, and improve their chances of reaching the final reward before the timer expires.
