Learn how Team Chest works in Gardenscapes, how to collect keys, open all three chests, earn rewards, and help your team reach the 8,000-key target.

The Team Chest is a Gardenscapes team event in which all members work together to collect keys and open three consecutive chests. For strong and active teams, the final target can reach 8,000 keys, which is the highest limit of the event.

The target is not determined simply by the number of members in a team or the levels the players have reached. What appears to matter more is the team’s previous performance in the Team Chest. When a team successfully completes the final target, it may move to a higher tier the next time the event appears. If it fails, it may return to a lower target.

How Does the Team Chest Work?

Players do not need to enter special levels. They continue playing regular Gardenscapes levels, and every successful completion adds keys to the team’s shared total.

  • Regular level: 1 key.
  • Hard level: 3 keys.
  • Super Hard or One-Shot level: 5 keys.

Players in the Golden League can also continue contributing to their team, since those levels count toward the Team Chest as well.

If a player loses a level, no previously collected keys are removed. The player simply adds no new progress until another level is successfully completed.

When Does the Team Chest Start and How Long Does It Last?

The Team Chest starts every Monday, immediately after Team Bowling ends. It remains active on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, and finishes on Friday, shortly before the next Team Bowling begins.

This means that the two main team events alternate throughout the week in a regular cycle:

Team Bowling → Team Chest → Team Bowling.

The team therefore has almost four full days to collect the required keys and open all three chests before Team Bowling returns.

Why Do Some Teams Need Fewer Keys?

Not every team receives the same target. Lower tiers can include targets such as 500, 1,000, 1,500, 3,000, and 6,000 keys. A small team may receive a higher target than another team with more members because the two teams have different histories of success and failure. Player level does not appear to affect the target directly.

The Maximum Target of 8,000 Keys

8,000 keys is the highest Team Chest tier. This target is mainly reached by teams that regularly complete their previous Team Chests and have enough active members.

An 8,000-key target does not mean that the team must have exactly 50 members. It means that the team has reached the highest tier of the system. A team with more than 45 members may still have a target of 3,000 or 6,000, while another team of a similar size may already be at 8,000.

When a team in the highest tier fails to complete the Team Chest, its next target may be reduced. For example, a team that fails to reach 8,000 keys may return to 6,000. If it completes the lower target again, it may move back up to 8,000.

Team Chest Rewards at the 8,000-Key Tier

At the highest tier, the team must complete all three chests to receive the entire reward package.

First Chest

  • 2 Card Pack
  • 15 minutes of unlimited lives.
  • 1 Bomb.
  • 1 Rainbow Blast.
  • 1 Dynamite.

Second Chest

  • 3 Card Pack
  • 30 minutes of unlimited lives.
  • 1 Shovel.
  • 1 Desk Fan.

Third Chest

  • 6 Card Pack
  • Coins.
  • 1 Bomb.
  • 1 Rainbow Blast.
  • 1 Dynamite.
  • 1 Dart.
  • 1 Kettlebell.

Card Packs appear while a Card Collection is active. During a different period of the game, Playrix may change part of the reward package or connect the Team Chest to another active event.

Are the Rewards Worth 8,000 Keys?

Eight thousand keys is a very demanding target, and the rewards do not increase at the same rate as the difficulty. A team in the highest tier needs an enormous amount of combined activity, while the number of boosters and tools remains limited.

For this reason, the Team Chest should not be treated as an event in which a few players are expected to spend Coins and boosters continuously to carry everyone else. Understanding how the rewards compare with Team Bowling also helps teams decide where to focus their effort. The rewards only offer real value when the target is shared among many active members.

If the team still needs thousands of keys shortly before the event ends, it is usually not worth exhausting the resources of a few players. However, if only a small number of keys remain before the third chest, one final effort may secure rewards for the entire team.

The Best Strategy for a Team With an 8,000-Key Target

The main strategy is not to find two or three players who can collect thousands of keys. The goal should be to involve as many team members as possible.

Set a Realistic Average Target

In a team with 40 active players, an average target of 200 keys per member produces exactly 8,000 keys. Not everyone needs to achieve the same score. Some players will contribute more and others less, but participation needs to be widespread.

Watch the Zero Scores

The team leader should not focus only on the top three players in the ranking. The number of members who remain at zero is more important. If half the team does not participate, the target becomes excessively demanding for everyone else.

Do Not Spend Everything on the First Day

The Team Chest lasts long enough for the team’s natural pace of progress to become clear. There is no reason to use all available Coins and boosters immediately. The final decision should be made when the number of remaining keys is clear.

Use Unlimited Lives at the Right Time

The unlimited lives from the first and second chests should be activated when the player has enough time for a continuous playing session. If they are claimed shortly before the player closes Gardenscapes, a large part of their duration will be wasted.

What Happens if a Player Changes Teams?

A player should remain in the same team while the Team Chest is in progress. Leaving before the event is completed may cause the player to lose access to the rewards.

A player who joins another team after the Team Chest has already started cannot simply claim rewards collected by the previous members. It is safer to change teams after the event has ended and the chests have been claimed.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is the Highest Team Chest Target?

The highest final target is 8,000 keys.

Does a Team With 50 Members Always Need 8,000 Keys?

No. A team with 50 members may receive a lower target depending on its current tier and its previous Team Chest results.

Do the Members’ Levels Matter?

Player level does not appear to determine the target directly. Advanced players may help because they are more active, not because the game automatically increases the target based on their level.

What Happens if the Team Fails at 8,000 Keys?

The next target may be reduced, for example to 6,000 keys. The team does not necessarily return to the lowest tier.

Does Everyone Receive the Same Rewards?

Every member who has participated normally can claim the chest rewards. The prizes are not divided according to the number of team members.

Conclusion

The Team Chest can reach a maximum tier of 8,000 keys. This target does not appear simply because a team has many members or many players at high levels. It is the result of the team’s previous performance and its success in earlier Team Chest events.

For an active team, 8,000 keys are achievable only when the effort is shared. If 40 players participate, they need an average of 200 keys each.

The most important goal is not to depend on the same small group of players but to reduce zero scores and increase overall participation. Only then can the three chest rewards be collected without repeatedly exhausting the Coins and boosters of the strongest members, especially when managing Coins and boosters efficiently.
