Watch a complete 15-level Helicopter Dash race in Gardenscapes Grand Trophy. Explore 39 match-3 elements, real endgame gameplay, boosters, race mechanics, and rewards.
What does a full Helicopter Dash race look like in Gardenscapes? What happens from takeoff to the finish line, and which match-3 elements might players encounter along the way?
We're taking a look at an entire Helicopter Dash race in the Grand Trophy, with real gameplay covering all 15 levels. From familiar obstacles to more complex mechanics, the video also gives newer players a chance to see what Gardenscapes looks like once they reach the endgame.
What Is Helicopter Dash in Gardenscapes?
Helicopter Dash is a race between five players competing to beat 15 levels. Every level you complete moves your helicopter one step closer to the finish line. That's how Helicopter Dash works: players progress through regular match-3 levels rather than special boards created exclusively for the event.
According to Playrix, Helicopter Dash becomes available at Level 30, and players can continue participating after reaching the Grand Trophy. The first three participants to complete the race earn rewards.
One important detail: the race doesn't end when the first player finishes. It continues until all three prize positions are filled. So even if someone takes an early lead, the remaining players still have a chance to finish in the top three.
How Helicopter Dash Works in the Grand Trophy
When players beat every currently available numbered level in Gardenscapes, they move into the Grand Trophy until the next batch of regular levels arrives.
Players can still complete match-3 rounds, earn cups, and make progress in compatible events such as Helicopter Dash. Their regular level number, however, stays the same until new levels are released.
Grand Trophy rounds may include older boards, different layouts, and combinations of mechanics introduced at various points in the game's history. That's one reason a relatively short race can feature such a wide variety of elements.
How We Played the 15 Levels
For this race, we started with a fully activated Magic Hat, which provides additional power-ups at the beginning of each level. We also used boosters and tools, including the Shovel, when certain boards needed extra help.
None of these items is required to participate in or win Helicopter Dash. They were simply part of how we approached this particular run, which also included an active ×2 reward multiplier.
The 39 Elements We Recorded Across 15 Levels
One of the highlights of this gameplay is the sheer variety of match-3 elements. Our notes identified 39 different element and mechanic names across the 15 levels.
Below is the complete list of elements we recorded, using their English names for easier identification. They're arranged alphabetically, not in the order they appeared in the video.
Acorns, Awning, Bag of Leaves, Bags of Food, Barrel with the Firecracker, Birdhouse, Bottle, Boxes, Brick Wall, Cave, Clouds, Colored Dynamite, Colored Light Bulbs, Conveyor, Cooler, Crystal, Emerald, Firework, Fridge, Hedge, Hedgehog, Ice, Jam, Lemonade, Magic Hat, Mushrooms, Piñata, Picnic Blanket, Robot, Safe, Shelf with Keys, Shingles, Slot Machine, Snail, Stone Tiles, Statue, Tackle Boxes, Vase, Watermelon Seedbed.
Note: This list documents the elements encountered during our recorded gameplay. It doesn't mean that every participant in the race necessarily plays the same levels or encounters the same elements.
Which Elements Stand Out?
A few of those 39 elements are worth a closer look because of how they affect the way a level plays out.
Crystal and Snail
Crystals require power-up explosions to be collected, while Snails react to matches or explosions next to their shells. Both require players to think about where their moves will have the greatest effect.
Slot Machine
The Slot Machine can generate additional boosters when activated. How helpful those boosters are depends on the machine's position and the other obstacles on the board.
Conveyor and Stone Tiles
The Conveyor features eggs that must be opened to release the chicks. Stone Tiles work differently, with layers that need to be removed before the objective is complete.
Robot, Shingles, Jam, and Firework
Robot, Shingles, Jam, and Firework are also worth noting, especially for players interested in how Gardenscapes elements have changed over time.
However, appearing in the Grand Trophy doesn't automatically make an element exclusive to the endgame. Confirming that would require reliable records showing where the element has appeared in regular numbered levels.
Magic Hat: Two Different Functions
Magic Hat can appear both as an element inside certain match-3 boards and as a bonus that provides extra starting power-ups. Despite sharing the same name, the in-board element and the fully activated Magic Hat bonus serve different purposes.
Watch the Complete 15-Level Helicopter Dash Race
The video follows the action from the opening level to the finish, showing both the match-3 gameplay and how the helicopters advance throughout the competition.
Throughout the run, we encounter a wide range of elements, each bringing something different to the board. Some levels are straightforward, while others require a little more planning to clear the objectives and keep moving.
What Does the Gameplay Tell Us About Level Difficulty?
Not all 15 levels are equally challenging. Some boards can be cleared quickly, while others take more careful decisions, well-timed power-ups, or an extra tool to get through.
Watch the opening moves, which obstacles get cleared first, and how different combinations help complete each objective. These small decisions often make the biggest difference when you're trying to keep up in a race.
That's especially interesting in the Grand Trophy, where familiar mechanics can appear in different layouts and combinations, giving older elements a different feel.
The Finish Line and Rewards
We finished this Helicopter Dash race in first place.
The rewards included:
- One hour of Unlimited Lives.
- One Bomb booster.
- One Dynamite booster.
- One Shovel.
Rewards may vary depending on the event version and any changes Playrix makes over time.
Conclusion
This complete Helicopter Dash race shows how different the experience can be from one level to the next, even within the same event.
For newer players, it's a chance to watch real endgame gameplay. For experienced players, the 39 recorded elements offer an interesting look at just how many different mechanics can show up during a single Grand Trophy run.
Fifteen levels, five helicopters, and one finish line. Our helicopter has landed safely. The next tricky board, however, probably has other plans.
