Frog Trail in Gardenscapes showing Dragonfly checkpoints, daily tasks, rewards, and the frog progression path during the limited test event

Frog Trail is a new Gardenscapes event that, so far, does not appear to have been released to all players. After checking 35 accounts from our team, it appeared on only one. This is a strong indication that it is currently a limited test or A/B test rather than a global release across all accounts.

This analysis is based exclusively on what has appeared inside the event and on observations from the account where it became available. It is not an official Playrix announcement, but rather a record of the information that has been revealed so far.

Quick Navigation

What Is Frog Trail?

Frog Trail is a seven-day event featuring a frog, a reward path, and Dragonfly collection. Players complete objectives connected to different event systems in Gardenscapes and earn Dragonflies to move the frog forward along the path.

The event combines first-try wins, Rainbow Blasts, cards, energy, coins, garden tasks, Blackberries, points, and special packs. In practice, it is an event that brings together many different game systems into a single weekly progression system.

How to Play Frog Trail

Playing Frog Trail is relatively straightforward. Players complete the objectives listed for each day and earn Dragonflies as rewards. Every Dragonfly collected helps move the frog forward along the reward path.

As the frog reaches specific checkpoints, additional rewards become available. The event combines many different Gardenscapes activities, including winning levels on the first try, creating Rainbow Blasts, collecting cards, spending energy, spending coins, gathering Blackberries, earning points, and completing garden tasks.

Unlike some older events, Frog Trail does not focus on a single activity. Progress comes from participating in multiple systems across the game. Another important detail is that progress appears to carry over between days, allowing actions completed earlier to contribute toward future objectives once they become available.

Because new days unlock gradually, the most effective approach is consistent daily participation rather than trying to complete everything in a single session.

Duration and Time Locking

Frog Trail lasts for seven days. The days are not all unlocked from the beginning. When a player selects a future day, a message such as "Reach Day 2 to unlock this task" appears.

This means that days unlock according to real time and not solely based on player progress. Even if a player completes many objectives quickly, the following days cannot be unlocked immediately.

What Does "Log In X Days" Mean?

The "Log in X days" objective does not function as a normal gameplay objective. Instead, it acts as a daily check-in and as the unlocking mechanism for the corresponding day.

On Day 1 it appears as Claim. On Day 2 it initially appeared as 1/2 and only became Claim once the second day opened. This indicates that players must physically reach the corresponding day of the event.

Frog Trail Day 3 in Gardenscapes showing Dragonfly rewards, daily objectives, Rainbow Blast tasks, and the event progression path

Total Confirmed Dragonflies So Far

From the first three fully documented days, the following amounts have already been confirmed:

  • Day 1: 85 Dragonflies
  • Day 2: 125 Dragonflies
  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies

This means that at least 360 Dragonflies have already been confirmed from the first three days of the event.

The first three days are therefore enough to pass the first checkpoint of 100 Dragonflies and the second checkpoint of 250 Dragonflies. They are not enough to reach the third checkpoint of 585 Dragonflies yet.

Day 4 Objectives and Rewards

Requirement Reward
Log in 4 days 15 Dragonflies and 10 Minutes of Infinite Lives
Create 675 Rainbow Blasts 25 Dragonflies and 1 Desk Fan
Collect 400 Points 35 Dragonflies and 1 Card Pack
Collect 6 Lazurite Packs 30 Dragonflies and 100 Coins
Spend 4200 Coins 45 Dragonflies and 1 Rainbow Blast

In total, Day 4 awards 150 Dragonflies, 10 Minutes of Infinite Lives, 1 Desk Fan, 1 Card Pack, 1 Rainbow Blast, and 100 Coins.

Frog Trail Day 4 in Gardenscapes showing locked objectives, Rainbow Blast requirement, point collection, Lazurite Packs, coin spending, and the event progression path

Total Confirmed Dragonflies So Far

From the first four fully documented days, the following amounts have already been confirmed:

  • Day 1: 85 Dragonflies
  • Day 2: 125 Dragonflies
  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies

This means that at least 510 Dragonflies have already been confirmed from the first four days of the event.

The first four days are therefore enough to pass the first checkpoint of 100 Dragonflies and the second checkpoint of 250 Dragonflies. They are still not enough to reach the third checkpoint of 585 Dragonflies yet.

A Curious Day 3 and Day 4 Pattern

One interesting detail is that Day 3 and Day 4 award exactly the same number of Dragonflies despite having very different requirements.

  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies

While Day 4 appears to contain more demanding objectives, the total Dragonfly payout remains unchanged. Instead of increasing the amount of Dragonflies, the event shifts the rewards into different tasks and reward types such as Coins, Card Packs, Infinite Lives, and boosters.

Day 5 Objectives and Rewards

Requirement Reward
Log in 5 days 20 Dragonflies and 10 Minutes of Infinite Lives
Beat 145 levels on the first try 50 Dragonflies and 2 Bombs
Spend 7200 energy 30 Dragonflies and 1 Card Pack
Collect 165 cards 55 Dragonflies and 1 Kettlebell
Collect 30000 Blackberries 25 Dragonflies and 150 Coins

In total, Day 5 awards 180 Dragonflies, 10 Minutes of Infinite Lives, 2 Bombs, 1 Card Pack, 1 Kettlebell, and 150 Coins.

Frog Trail Day 5 in Gardenscapes showing locked objectives, Rainbow Blast requirement, point collection, Lazurite Packs, coin spending, and the event progression path

Is Day 5 the Real Difficulty Spike of Frog Trail?

Based on the objectives and rewards revealed so far, Day 5 appears to be the biggest difficulty spike in the entire Frog Trail event.

Unlike previous days, Day 5 combines several demanding requirements at the same time, including 145 first-try wins, 7200 energy, 165 cards, and 30000 Blackberries.

Day 5 is also the first revealed day that increases the Dragonfly payout. While Day 3 and Day 4 both awarded 150 Dragonflies, Day 5 increases the total to 180 Dragonflies.

For many active players, Day 5 may therefore be the point where Frog Trail feels most demanding. It requires substantial progress across multiple systems simultaneously, while also offering a higher Dragonfly total than the two previous documented days.

Total Confirmed Dragonflies So Far

From the first five fully documented days, the following amounts have already been confirmed:

  • Day 1: 85 Dragonflies
  • Day 2: 125 Dragonflies
  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies

This means that at least 690 Dragonflies have already been confirmed from the first five days of the event.

The first five days are enough to pass the first checkpoint of 100 Dragonflies, the second checkpoint of 250 Dragonflies, and the third checkpoint of 585 Dragonflies. The next major target remains 825 Dragonflies.

A Curious Day 3, Day 4, and Day 5 Pattern

One interesting detail is that Day 3 and Day 4 award exactly the same number of Dragonflies despite having very different requirements.

  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies

While Day 4 appears to contain more demanding objectives, the total Dragonfly payout remains unchanged compared to Day 3. Day 5 is the first revealed day that increases the Dragonfly reward total, raising it from 150 to 180 Dragonflies.

Day 6 Objectives and Rewards

Requirement Reward
Log in 6 days 20 Dragonflies and 15 Minutes of Infinite Lives
Create 900 Rainbow Blasts 50 Dragonflies and 1 Dart
Collect 570 Points 40 Dragonflies and 1 Card Pack
Collect 2 Ruby Packs 55 Dragonflies and 1 Rainbow Blast
Finish 54 garden tasks 25 Dragonflies and 150 Coins

In total, Day 6 awards 190 Dragonflies, 15 Minutes of Infinite Lives, 1 Dart, 1 Card Pack, 1 Rainbow Blast, and 150 Coins.

Frog Trail Day 6 in Gardenscapes showing Dragonfly rewards, Rainbow Blast objectives, point collection, Ruby Packs, garden tasks, and the event progression path

Does Day 6 Confirm How Frog Trail Really Works?

Day 6 provides some of the strongest evidence so far that Frog Trail uses a shared progression system across multiple days.

Before Day 6 officially opened, several objectives already showed substantial progress. In some cases, players may find that most or even all requirements have already been completed through progress accumulated while playing earlier days.

The requirements themselves are large, including 900 Rainbow Blasts, 570 Points, Ruby Packs, and 54 garden tasks. However, much of this progress appears to be carried forward automatically from previous days.

This suggests that Frog Trail may not become progressively harder every day. Instead, a significant portion of the workload appears to be concentrated earlier in the event, with later days benefiting from progress already earned.

Total Confirmed Dragonflies So Far

From the first six fully documented days, the following amounts have already been confirmed:

  • Day 1: 85 Dragonflies
  • Day 2: 125 Dragonflies
  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies
  • Day 6: 190 Dragonflies

This means that at least 880 Dragonflies have already been confirmed from the first six days of the event.

The first six days are enough to pass the first checkpoint of 100 Dragonflies, the second checkpoint of 250 Dragonflies, the third checkpoint of 585 Dragonflies, and the fourth checkpoint of 825 Dragonflies.

A Curious Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, and Day 6 Pattern

The Dragonfly rewards have increased gradually during the second half of the event.

  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies
  • Day 6: 190 Dragonflies

While Day 3 and Day 4 awarded the same total, Day 5 increased the payout to 180 Dragonflies and Day 6 increased it again to 190 Dragonflies. This makes Day 6 the highest Dragonfly-paying day revealed so far.

Day 7 Objectives and Rewards

Requirement Reward
Log in 7 days 35 Dragonflies and 15 Minutes of Infinite Lives
Beat 170 levels on the first try 50 Dragonflies and 2 Bombs
Spend 7200 Coins 65 Dragonflies and 1 Card Pack
Collect 203 cards 60 Dragonflies and 300 Coins
Collect 40500 Blackberries 45 Dragonflies and 1 Shovel

In total, Day 7 awards 255 Dragonflies, 15 Minutes of Infinite Lives, 2 Bombs, 1 Card Pack, 1 Shovel, and 300 Coins.

Frog Trail Day 7 in Gardenscapes showing Dragonfly rewards, first-try wins, coin spending, card collection, Blackberries, and the final event progression path

Does Day 7 Confirm the Final Frog Trail Reward Jump?

Day 7 provides the clearest reward increase of the entire Frog Trail event.

After Day 5 awarded 180 Dragonflies and Day 6 increased the total to 190 Dragonflies, Day 7 jumps sharply to 255 Dragonflies. This makes the final day the highest Dragonfly-paying day documented in the full seven-day cycle.

The requirements are also the largest so far, including 170 first-try wins, 7200 Coins, 203 cards, and 40500 Blackberries. However, because Frog Trail uses shared progression across multiple days, much of this progress may already be accumulated before Day 7 officially opens.

This confirms that Frog Trail does not simply increase difficulty in a straight line. Instead, the final day combines very high requirements with the largest Dragonfly reward total of the event.

Total Confirmed Dragonflies So Far

From the full seven documented days, the following amounts have now been confirmed:

  • Day 1: 85 Dragonflies
  • Day 2: 125 Dragonflies
  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies
  • Day 6: 190 Dragonflies
  • Day 7: 255 Dragonflies

This means that 1135 Dragonflies have been confirmed from the seven daily objective sets of the event.

The full seven-day cycle is enough to pass every visible frog-path checkpoint: 100 Dragonflies, 250 Dragonflies, 585 Dragonflies, 825 Dragonflies, and 1055 Dragonflies.

A Curious Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, and Day 7 Pattern

The Dragonfly rewards increase sharply toward the end of the event.

  • Day 3: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 4: 150 Dragonflies
  • Day 5: 180 Dragonflies
  • Day 6: 190 Dragonflies
  • Day 7: 255 Dragonflies

Day 3 and Day 4 awarded the same total, Day 5 increased the payout to 180 Dragonflies, Day 6 increased it again to 190 Dragonflies, and Day 7 makes the largest jump of the event with 255 Dragonflies.

Progress Carries Over Between Days

One of the most important discoveries about Frog Trail is that progress carries over between days.

Examples already observed include:

  • The same cards are counted simultaneously toward multiple days.
  • Rainbow Blasts show progress for future days before those days unlock.
  • Blackberries are counted across multiple days.
  • Garden Tasks appear with progress already recorded.
  • Coins spent seem to count toward more than one objective.

This indicates that Frog Trail uses a shared progression system rather than resetting progress at the start of each day.

The Frog Path

The frog advances through the Dragonflies collected by the player. Dragonflies are the main progression currency of the event.

The path includes five major checkpoints:

  • 100 Dragonflies
  • 250 Dragonflies
  • 585 Dragonflies
  • 825 Dragonflies
  • 1055 Dragonflies

These numbers do not represent levels or days. They are milestone targets that unlock the major rewards along the path.

Frog Path Rewards

Checkpoint Reward
100 Dragonflies 2 Bombs and 1 Shovel
250 Dragonflies 3-Card Pack and 1 Desk Fan
585 Dragonflies 300 Coins and 1 Rainbow Blast
825 Dragonflies 4-Card Pack, 1 Dart, and 1 Kettlebell
1055 Dragonflies 6-Card Pack, 800 Coins, 1 Dynamite, and 1 Desk Fan

Total Path Rewards

  • 2 Bombs
  • 1 Shovel
  • 2 Desk Fans
  • 1 Rainbow Blast
  • 1 Dart
  • 1 Kettlebell
  • 1 Dynamite
  • 1100 Coins
  • 3-Card Pack
  • 4-Card Pack
  • 6-Card Pack

What Is the Total Value of the Revealed Rewards So Far?

If we combine all rewards confirmed from the full seven days of Frog Trail and from the frog path itself, the following rewards have been revealed:

  • 1135 Dragonflies
  • 3 Hours of Infinite Lives
  • 10 Bombs
  • 4 Shovels
  • 5 Rainbow Blasts
  • 4 Desk Fans
  • 2 Darts
  • 2 Kettlebells
  • 1 Dynamite
  • 2050 Coins
  • 7 Card Packs from daily objectives
  • 1 3-Card Pack
  • 1 4-Card Pack
  • 1 6-Card Pack

These rewards include all confirmed rewards from Day 1, Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5, Day 6, Day 7, and the visible frog path rewards. This means the full seven-day Frog Trail cycle has now revealed enough Dragonflies to pass every visible frog-path checkpoint, including the final 1055-Dragonfly reward.

An interesting consequence of these totals is that the controversial Day 3 purchase objective is not mathematically required for completion. The event contains 1135 Dragonflies in total, while the final checkpoint requires 1055. Since the purchase objective awards 80 Dragonflies, players can still reach the final reward chest without spending money if every other objective is completed.

One detail that many players overlook is how the claim reward system in Frog Trail actually works. Understanding when and how individual rewards become available can make the event much easier to follow.

The Automatic 50 Dragonfly Progress Bonus

An especially interesting observation is that when the frog reaches a checkpoint, the next section of the path appears to begin with 50 Dragonflies of progress already filled.

This means players do not start from absolute zero when moving into a new section of the reward path.

The Most Controversial Objective

Day 3 includes the objective "Make an in-app purchase."

This objective rewards players for making a real-money purchase inside the game. However, the Dragonfly completion analysis later revealed that the objective is not required to reach the final Frog Trail checkpoint.

In the documented Day 3 rewards, this objective gives 80 Dragonflies and 1 Rainbow Blast. Since the event contains 1135 Dragonflies in total and the final visible checkpoint requires 1055 Dragonflies, players can still theoretically complete the entire Frog Trail path without making a purchase if they finish all other objectives. This makes the purchase objective one of the highest-value shortcuts in the event rather than a mandatory requirement for completion.

What Events Are Missing While Frog Trail Is Active?

An important observation from the account participating in Frog Trail is that several regular events have not appeared while Frog Trail has been active.

When Frog Trail started, Gardening Duties did not appear on the account where the event was available. As the event progressed toward Day 6, Gnome Treasure also failed to appear even though it would normally be expected. In addition, Hit the Target has been absent throughout the entire Frog Trail period.

This does not prove that Frog Trail permanently replaces these events. However, based on direct observation from an active Frog Trail account, Gardening Duties, Gnome Treasure, and Hit the Target have all been missing while Frog Trail has been running.

So far, the evidence suggests that Frog Trail may be occupying the same event slot normally used by one or more of these systems. Whether this is a temporary test configuration or a broader change remains unknown until the full seven-day cycle has been completed and future event schedules become visible.

What Happens After Frog Trail Ends?

Now that the full seven-day Frog Trail cycle has been documented, one major question remains unanswered: what happens after the event ends?

An important observation is that Gardening Duties did not appear when Frog Trail started. As the event progressed, Gnome Treasure also failed to appear, and Hit the Target remained absent throughout the entire seven-day event period.

This strongly suggests that Frog Trail may be occupying an event slot normally used by one or more of these events. The fact that all three remained absent for the entire duration of Frog Trail makes this possibility more significant than it appeared during the early days of the test.

However, it is still impossible to determine whether this is a temporary test configuration, a regional experiment, a player-segment test, or a permanent change to the Gardenscapes event schedule.

The next event cycle will likely provide the first real clue. If Gardening Duties, Gnome Treasure, or Hit the Target return immediately after Frog Trail ends, the event may simply be sharing their schedule slot. If they remain absent, it could indicate a broader change to how Playrix structures weekly events.

When Frog Trail first appeared, it seemed to replace several parallel events that normally ran at the same time in Gardenscapes, including Gnome Treasure. However, an important change was observed during its second appearance. After the second Frog Trail cycle ended and the next event rotation began, Gnome Treasure returned to the game. This suggests that Playrix may be testing different combinations of simultaneous events and that Frog Trail no longer necessarily replaces Gnome Treasure as it initially appeared to do.

This Article Will Be Updated

All seven Frog Trail days have now been fully documented and analyzed.

This article will continue to be updated if Playrix changes the event structure, objectives, rewards, Dragonfly requirements, checkpoint rewards, or future Frog Trail cycles.

Because Frog Trail currently appears to be a limited test event, future versions may differ from the seven-day cycle documented here.

A video showing the event in action is available at this Frog Trail post, where we continue documenting new discoveries as additional days and rewards become available.

Why Does This Event Appear to Be So Demanding?

Although Playrix has not provided an official explanation for Frog Trail, the objectives revealed so far suggest that the event has been designed differently from many traditional weekly events. Instead of focusing on a single activity, it connects nearly every major game system into one unified progression path.

The requirements include levels, Rainbow Blasts, cards, packs, energy, Blackberries, coins, and garden tasks. This means players cannot progress efficiently by participating in only one part of the game. Instead, Frog Trail appears designed to encourage daily participation across as many events and systems as possible.

One possible interpretation is that Frog Trail was created to increase overall activity among highly engaged players and serve as a central event linking many other systems together. The more Gardenscapes systems a player uses, the greater their potential progress along the frog path.

The fact that days unlock gradually and that progress carries from one day to another also suggests that the event was designed for consistent participation throughout the entire week rather than rapid completion within a few hours.

How Demanding Does Frog Trail Appear to Be and Who Is It For?

Based on everything revealed so far, Frog Trail appears to be one of the most demanding weekly events ever introduced in Gardenscapes.

The fact that the event appeared on only one out of 35 tested accounts also suggests that Playrix may currently be evaluating player interest and behavior among specific groups before deciding whether to expand the event to a larger audience.

The event does not appear to be designed primarily for casual players who log in for only a few minutes each day. Instead, it seems targeted toward highly active players, players who participate in most daily events, those who collect large numbers of cards, and players who regularly complete levels on their first attempt.

For those players, the real cost of completing Frog Trail may ultimately become just as important as the rewards themselves, because reaching the final checkpoints appears to require a substantial investment of levels, boosters, and coins.

The presence of objectives involving cards, packs, energy, Blackberries, garden tasks, and even an in-app purchase shows that Frog Trail attempts to connect nearly every major game system into a single event. This makes it especially interesting for dedicated players but potentially very difficult for more relaxed or occasional players.

How Frog Trail Connects to Chained Reward Events

Frog Trail does not behave exactly like a classic sale or a simple weekly event, but its structure has some similarities with chained reward events because the player keeps moving through a sequence of rewards that becomes more valuable only after enough progress has been collected.

The difference is that Frog Trail connects this progression to daily objectives, timed unlocking, Dragonflies, and several separate game systems at once. That makes it more complex than older reward chains and much more demanding for players who want to reach the final checkpoint.

First Documented Conclusion

Frog Trail is one of the most interesting experimental events to appear in Gardenscapes in recent memory. It combines multiple game systems, uses shared progression between days, includes time-based locks, and introduces a completely different progression structure through Dragonflies and the frog path.

With all seven days now documented, Frog Trail appears to be one of the most demanding event structures ever tested in Gardenscapes. The event combines levels, Rainbow Blasts, cards, packs, coins, energy, Blackberries, and garden tasks into a single progression system while also using shared progress between days.

One of the most important discoveries is that progress carries forward throughout the event. Objectives involving Rainbow Blasts, cards, Blackberries, coins, points, and garden tasks frequently show progress before a new day officially unlocks, strongly supporting the idea that Frog Trail uses a shared progression system rather than isolated daily tasks.

Another significant discovery is that three familiar events have been absent on the Frog Trail test account throughout the entire seven-day cycle: Gardening Duties, Gnome Treasure, and Hit the Target. While this does not yet prove permanent replacement, it strengthens the possibility that Frog Trail is currently using the same event slot normally occupied by one or more of these systems. This became even more noticeable when comparing the overall reward value against the three events that disappeared during the test period, suggesting that Frog Trail may have been designed to consolidate progression and rewards into a single structure.

The final documented reward structure contains 1135 Dragonflies, enough to clear every visible frog-path checkpoint, including the final 1055-Dragonfly reward chest. Day 7 also delivers the largest Dragonfly payout of the entire event with 255 Dragonflies.

Although the full reward structure is now known, several questions remain about Frog Trail's future. It is still unclear whether the event will expand to more players, return in future cycles, or permanently replace existing event slots. However, based on everything documented so far, Frog Trail appears to be one of the most ambitious and complex event tests introduced in Gardenscapes.

  1. I didn't manage to finish this event because it was just too expensive for me. Thanks for putting all this information together. I stopped playing it quite early and was wondering what the final rewards were going to be, so this article answered that question. Looking at the numbers, it really seems harder than most events we've had before. I honestly don't think it will come back exactly like this, but who knows. Also congratulations for the site. It's something different from the usual Gardenscapes content. Sometimes the articles are a bit long and take some time to read, but there is always a lot of useful information in them. Keep up the good work and good luck with the site.
