Learn how to create your own private one-person team in Gardenscapes and earn Team Chest rewards without teammates, pressure, or weekly obligations.
Many Gardenscapes players have no interest in joining active teams. They don't want weekly requirements, pressure to earn points, expectations from team leaders, or the feeling that they must always participate in team events. They simply prefer to enjoy the game at their own pace.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. However, there is a simple trick that lets you continue playing completely solo while still taking advantage of the rewards available through the weekly Team Chest.
Create Your Own One-Person Team
Creating a new team in Gardenscapes costs only 100 coins. That's a very small one-time cost that most players can easily earn by completing a few levels or collecting daily rewards.
After creating the team, give it any name you like and set it to closed. This prevents other players from joining without your approval, allowing you to remain the only member.
You'll continue playing exactly as before. There are no teammates to manage, no chat to follow, no weekly obligations, and no pressure to meet anyone else's expectations.
Why This Works
The real advantage appears during the weekly Team Chest event. As long as you're a member of a team—even if you're the only member—you can participate by completing normal levels and earning Team Chest points.
Since you are the only player in your team, every point comes from your own gameplay. You don't depend on anyone else, and you never have to wait for teammates to help unlock rewards.
If you play a lot during the event, you can open as many Team Chests as you manage to reach entirely on your own.
Even One Completed Level Can Be Worth It
The best part of this trick is that you don't have to be a very active player to benefit from it.
Even if you complete only one level during the Team Chest event, you'll still appear in your team's ranking. Since you're the only member, you'll automatically finish in first place.
First place awards two Dynamites. That means you can earn two extra Dynamites with almost no effort, without depending on teammates or competing against anyone.
What If You Don't Open Any Team Chests?
This trick can still be useful even if you don't have enough time to unlock the first Team Chest.
You may not collect enough points to open a chest, but your position in the team ranking still counts. Since there is no second player in your team, you'll still finish first and receive the first-place reward.
That means even a small amount of gameplay can give you more value than the original 100 coins you spent creating the team.
If You Play More, You Earn More
Players who complete many levels each week can benefit even more from a one-person team.
The further you progress in the Team Chest event, the more chests you can unlock and the more rewards you collect. Your progress depends entirely on how much you play because there are no teammates contributing points.
This means active players can earn not only the two Dynamites for finishing first, but also every Team Chest reward they manage to unlock during the event.
No Pressure From Other Players
Most regular teams have rules. They may require minimum weekly points, frequent participation, helping teammates, or deciding when to play team events in order to maximize rewards.
With your own private team, none of that exists. You decide when to play, how much to play, and whether you want to be active that week.
No team leader can remove you, nobody asks why you didn't play, and you never feel responsible for anyone else's progress.
Who Should Use This Trick?
This strategy is ideal for players who enjoy Gardenscapes without the social pressure of competitive teams.
- Players who don't want to join active teams.
- Players who have an irregular playing schedule.
- Players who prefer relaxing gameplay without weekly obligations.
- Players who still want to collect basic Team Chest rewards.
- Players who like having complete control over their own team.
Why 100 Coins Is Hardly a Cost
The 100 coins required to create a team are a one-time expense. Once your team exists, there are no weekly fees or maintenance costs.
From that point forward, you can use the same team every week during Team Chest events. Even the two Dynamites from your first week can easily make up for the small initial investment.
Every reward you earn after that is simply an extra bonus.
How to Set It Up
- Open the Teams section in Gardenscapes.
- Create a new team.
- Pay the 100-coin creation cost.
- Choose any team name you like.
- Set the team to closed.
- Don't approve new members if you want to remain alone.
- Play normally when Team Chest begins.
- Complete at least one level to appear in the weekly ranking.
Important Note
This trick applies only to the weekly Team Chest event.
It does not work for every team event in Gardenscapes. For example, Team Bowling requires at least 10 active players before the event can begin. A team with only one member cannot participate in Team Bowling.
In other words, creating a one-person private team is a useful strategy specifically for collecting Team Chest rewards while avoiding the pressure and responsibilities of being part of a large team.
A Simple Trick With Long-Term Benefits
Gardenscapes doesn't require you to join a large or competitive team. You can create your own private team, continue enjoying the game on your own, and still receive valuable Team Chest rewards every week.
For only 100 coins, you become the sole member of your own team and gain access to the weekly Team Chest event.
If you play a lot, you can unlock multiple Team Chests. If you only play a little, completing even one level may still be enough to finish first and earn two Dynamites.
For players who value independence, flexibility, and a stress-free experience, this is one of the simplest and most useful Gardenscapes tricks available.
