Team Rating and Team Score in Gardenscapes

Team Rating and Team Score both appear in a Gardenscapes team’s profile, but they measure two different things. Team Rating reflects the team’s progress toward its weekly goals, while Team Score is based on the levels completed by the players who are currently on the team.

The Team Info screen may also show Weekly Helps, the number of members, the required level, and the team type. Each number tells you something different about how a Gardenscapes team works, so it is important to understand them separately.

What Is Team Rating?

Team Rating is based on five weekly goals. Each completed goal earns the team one star, and the highest possible rating is five stars.

These goals may involve different types of team activity, such as:

reaching a certain number of members,
sending a specific number of lives,
completing levels,
collecting Team Chests,
finishing in a certain position in Team Bowling.

Team Rating is not based on a single score. It reflects several types of participation, including completing levels, sharing lives, and taking part in team events.

What Does “Team Rating for Next Week” Mean?

The goals your team completes during the current week determine its Team Rating for the following week.

If the team completes all five goals, it earns a five-star rating for next week. If it completes four goals, it earns four stars. Gold stars show the goals that have already been completed, while empty stars show the goals that are still unfinished.

The timer on the Team Rating screen shows how much time is left before the current weekly cycle ends.

The “This Week” and “Last Week” Tabs

The This Week tab shows the active goals and the team’s current progress.

The Last Week tab shows the results from the previous weekly cycle. Players can use it to see which goals the team completed last week and compare those results with the current week.

Where to Find the Current Team Rating

On the Team Info screen, the team’s current rating appears as stars next to its name and badge.

These stars do not represent the team’s position in Team Bowling, and they are not calculated from Team Score. They come from the weekly goals completed during the previous rating cycle.

What Is Team Score?

Team Score is the total number of Team Points earned by everyone who is currently on the team.

Each member earns:

1 Team Point for every regular level completed,
1 Team Point for every Grand Trophy level completed,
1 Team Point for every Hard or Super Hard level completed.

Hard and Super Hard levels still count as one point each. Their higher difficulty does not increase the number of Team Points awarded.

Team Score = the combined Team Points of all current team members.

Team Score is not a lifetime record of everything the team has achieved. It is tied to the players who are on the team right now, so the total can change when members complete levels, join the team, or leave.

What Happens to Team Score When Members Join or Leave?

When a player leaves a team, that player’s Team Points are removed from the team’s total score.

If the player joins another team, their contribution is added to the new team’s score. This is why Team Score can rise or fall when the team’s membership changes, even if no one has completed a new level.

The Grand Trophy portion of a player’s Team Points resets when the weekly batch of new Gardenscapes levels is released. Points earned from regular levels continue to count.

Grand Trophy points reset because players at the end of the game can continue playing repeating levels while they wait for new regular levels. Without a reset, endgame players could keep adding points indefinitely. Regular levels provide the lasting base of Team Score, while Grand Trophy points show more recent activity.

What Are Weekly Helps?

Weekly Helps track the lives team members send to one another during the week.

Each life sent adds one help point. The team’s total appears on the Team Info screen, and each player’s individual contribution may also appear in the member list.

Weekly Helps reset every week. They are not added to Team Score and do not affect the team’s ranking based on that score.

What Does the Member Count Show?

The number next to the member icon shows how many of the team’s available spots are currently filled.

A team can have up to 50 members. For example, 40/50 means the team has 40 members and 10 open spots.

The member count may also be part of a weekly goal that requires the team to reach a certain number of members.

What Does Required Level Mean?

Required Level is the minimum level a player must reach before joining the team.

The team leader or co-leaders can set and change this requirement. A player who has not reached the required level cannot join, even if the team has an open spot.

What Does Team Type Mean?

Team Type determines how players can join the team.

Open: players who meet the level requirement can join immediately.
Closed: players must send a request and wait for approval from the team leader or a co-leader.

How Team Rating and Team Score Are Connected

Team Rating and Team Score appear in the same area, but they are calculated separately.

Team Rating comes from weekly goals. Team Score comes from the levels completed by current team members. Weekly Helps track the lives sent between teammates.

Completing a level can affect both Team Rating and Team Score in different ways. The player earns one Team Point for the completed level, and that same level may also count toward one of the team’s weekly goals.

Sending a life adds to Weekly Helps and may help complete a life-sharing goal, but it does not add anything to Team Score.
