Gardenscapes Gardening Duties Bug: Surfboards Required but Catch a Wave Is Missing

Gardenscapes Gardening Duties may require Surfboards even when Catch a Wave is missing. Playrix confirms a known issue, and affected players can ask Support to review rewards they may lose.

Some Gardenscapes players are facing a technical problem that can prevent them from completing Gardening Duties and collecting the rewards they would normally earn.

The problem appears when Gardening Duties requires Surfboards, but the Catch a Wave event is not available in the player's game. Without Catch a Wave, there is no normal way to collect the required Surfboards.

Playrix Support confirms the problem

GardenscapesStrategy.com contacted Playrix Support after three Gardening Duties stages were affected by this situation.

Playrix Support confirmed:

“The issue where surfboards cannot be collected for Gardening Duty because the Catch a Wave event did not launch is a known problem that our team is currently investigating.”

Support then confirmed that the case was being handed over to the appropriate team together with the details about Gardening Duties, the missing Catch a Wave event, and the affected platform.

Other players are affected too

Similar reports have appeared in the Gardenscapes community. Players have described Gardening Duties asking for Surfboards, another situation where some Gardenscapes events do not appear for every player.

This means affected players can continue playing levels but still remain unable to complete a specific Gardening Duties requirement.

Why players should contact Support

Gardening Duties is a limited-time event, so a blocked task can also mean losing the opportunity to complete stages and receive their rewards before the event ends.

If this happens to you, contact Playrix Support and explain exactly how many Gardening Duties stages or rewards have been affected.

You should also ask Support to review the rewards you could not obtain because of the technical issue. There is currently no public Playrix announcement guaranteeing automatic compensation, so affected players should request an individual review.

We requested the rewards from all 3 affected stages

In our case, three Gardening Duties stages were affected. We asked Playrix Support to include a request for the rewards from all three stages when forwarding the case.

The reason is simple: if Catch a Wave had been available normally, there would have been enough time to collect the required Surfboards and complete those stages. The player should not have to lose rewards because an acknowledged technical issue made the tasks impossible to complete.

The request has been submitted and is now waiting for a response from the support team. At this stage, Playrix has not yet confirmed that the three rewards will be granted.

Keep evidence of the problem

Before contacting Gardenscapes Support, take screenshots showing the Surfboard requirement and that Catch a Wave is missing from your game. If more than one stage has been affected, include that information in your support request.

This can be important because the event is temporary and the affected screen may later disappear or change.

Confirm that Catch a Wave is not available in your game.
Contact Playrix Support.
State how many stages or rewards are affected.
Ask Support to review the lost rewards and possible compensation.

Players who see this problem should report it instead of assuming the Surfboard requirement is intentional. Playrix Support has identified the missing Catch a Wave situation as a known technical problem under investigation, and players who lose progress because of it should make sure their affected rewards are also included in their support request.
