How River of Treasures works in Gardenscapes, including Rainbow Blast scoring, all ten stages, card pack rewards, and Expedition energy.
River of Treasures is a limited-time Gardenscapes event that turns Rainbow Blast activations into progress along a reward track. You collect flowers, complete stages, and earn card packs and energy. The version shown in the available screenshots has ten stages, with a Sapphire Pack waiting at the end.
The event appears to be available on a trial basis to selected accounts. The requirements and rewards below apply to the version covered here.
How River of Treasures Works
You make progress while playing regular Gardenscapes match-3 levels. Each time you activate a Rainbow Blast or Super Rainbow Blast, you earn points for the event. These points appear as white flowers, which the game calls lilies.
Lilies fill the progress bar for your current stage. Once you collect the required amount, you receive the reward and move on to the next stage. The event screen presents this as a journey along a river, with rewards sitting on flowering lily pads.
This is an individual reward track. The goal is to get through as many of its ten stages as you can before time runs out.
When the Event Appears
The information available for this version states that you must have reached at least level 43 and unlocked card collections and expeditions.
River of Treasures appears while a card collection is active. If the event is available on your account, look for the white flower icon in the menu on the left side of the screen. The remaining time appears below it.
Because the event appears to be in a trial rollout, meeting the requirements does not necessarily mean it will appear on every eligible account at the same time.
How Many Lilies Each Rainbow Blast Earns
The number of lilies you earn per activation depends on the level’s difficulty. In this version, Rainbow Blast and Super Rainbow Blast award the same number of lilies per activation.
| Level Difficulty | Lilies per Activation |
|---|---|
| Normal | 1 |
| Hard | 3 |
| Super Hard | 5 |
| Challenge | 5 |
For example, three Rainbow Blast activations earn 3 lilies in a Normal level, 9 in a Hard level, and 15 in a Super Hard or Challenge level. Simply counting the levels you play does not tell you how much progress you are making. The number of activations within those levels matters, too.
The Ten Stages and Their Rewards
Each stage has its own requirement. The numbers below show how many lilies you need for that stage alone, rather than a running total from the start of the event.
| Stage | Lilies Required | Reward |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 20 | 15 energy |
| 2 | 35 | Bronze Pack |
| 3 | 50 | Emerald Pack |
| 4 | 65 | 30 energy |
| 5 | 90 | Emerald Pack |
| 6 | 130 | Lazurite Pack |
| 7 | 180 | Lazurite Pack |
| 8 | 210 | 50 energy |
| 9 | 280 | Ruby Pack |
| 10 | 360 | Sapphire Pack |
| Total | 1,420 | 7 card packs and 95 energy |
Stage five requires 90 lilies, as shown in the event screenshot. Using that figure, the full track requires 1,420 lilies.
How Many Cards You Can Collect
The track awards seven card packs: one Bronze, two Emerald, two Lazurite, one Ruby, and one Sapphire. Based on the number of cards in each pack, that adds up to 28 cards.
| Pack | Number of Packs | Cards per Pack | Total Cards |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bronze | 1 | 2 | 2 |
| Emerald | 2 | 3 | 6 |
| Lazurite | 2 | 4 | 8 |
| Ruby | 1 | 6 | 6 |
| Sapphire | 1 | 6 | 6 |
| Total | 7 | — | 28 |
Those 28 cards represent the combined contents of all seven packs. They are not a guarantee of 28 different cards or 28 new additions to your collection.
Energy is awarded at three points along the track: 15 at stage one, 30 at stage four, and 50 at stage eight. The total is 95 energy.
River of Treasures can support progress in both Card Collection and the Expedition. Completing the recorded reward track gives you seven packs containing 28 cards in total, along with 95 energy. Its biggest contribution appears to be to Card Collection, since those packs offer additional chances to find missing cards, while the energy provides an extra boost for exploring the Expedition.
Why the Final Stages Take More Work
The requirements increase noticeably as you move forward. The first five stages need a combined 260 lilies, while the final five need 1,160. Finishing half the stages therefore accounts for only about 18.3% of the total points required.
The final three stages make the difference even clearer. Together, they require 850 lilies, or almost 60% of the full track’s requirement. The early stages may go quickly, but most of the work comes near the end.
Keep that in mind when checking the timer. Being on stage eight does not mean you have collected 80% of the required points. To work out how far you still have to go before the Sapphire Pack, count the lilies you still need in your current stage and the stages ahead.
How to Fit It Into Your Gameplay
River of Treasures gives Rainbow Blast activations an extra benefit: they help you clear the level and move you along the event’s reward track. The most natural approach is to use Rainbow Blast to clear objectives and open up space on the board, collecting lilies along the way.
The higher payouts in Hard, Super Hard, and Challenge levels affect how quickly you collect lilies. However, more lilies per activation do not automatically mean easier progress. Those same levels may take more effort to beat.
Before spending extra resources to reach the next reward, check which stage is next and how many lilies it requires. A nearby pack may be a reasonable goal, while reaching the final Sapphire Pack takes a much larger overall commitment.
Conclusion
River of Treasures gives you another way to earn cards and energy while playing Gardenscapes levels. In the version covered here, its ten stages require 1,420 lilies and award seven packs containing 28 cards in total, plus 95 energy.
What matters most is where the work falls. The early rewards have smaller requirements, while the final stages account for most of the points you need. If the event appears on your account, watch the timer and the next reward to decide how far you want to go.
For now, enjoy the rewards on the next lily pad. That Sapphire Pack can wait a little longer. The event timer, of course, has other plans.
