How do Cups, Drop, and merging work in Gardenscapes Date Night? Explore the collections, their prizes, and the Free and VIP reward paths.
Date Night is a Gardenscapes merge event built around Cups, the Drop button, item merging, four stages, themed collections, Pawsome Progress, and rewards.
What Are Cups?
Cups are earned by playing regular Gardenscapes levels. You use them to keep playing Date Night and add more items to the merge board.
When no more Drops are available, the button changes from Drop to Play, sending the player back to regular levels to earn more Cups.
What Is the Drop Button?
Drop places the next available event item on the board. The small picture on the button shows which item is coming next.
How Does Merging Work?
Two identical items can be merged to create the next item in the same chain.
Two matching coffee cups, for example, create the next drink in the coffee chain. The same basic rule is used for desserts, coins, gifts, and other Date Night items.
If a coffee is frozen, create the same coffee outside the ice and merge it with the frozen one to unlock it.
What Is Coffee Delights?
Coffee Delights is the collection of coffee drinks discovered through the coffee merge chain.
Completing Coffee Delights gives an Emerald Pack + 150 coins.
What Is Sweet Treats?
Sweet Treats is the collection of pastries, cakes, and other desserts discovered during the event.
Completing Sweet Treats gives a Lazurite Pack + 300 coins.
What Are Collections?
Date Night has 38 collection items divided into five categories:
- Coffee Delights
- Sweet Treats
- Gold Coins
- Booster Set
- Gift Boxes
When an item is discovered for the first time, the game can show New Item Found!. You earn 5 coins each time you claim a newly discovered item.
Completing all 38/38 items unlocks the final Collection Chest, containing a Sapphire Pack, Shovel, Dart, Kettlebell, and Desk Fan.
What Is Pawsome Progress?
Pawsome Progress is a separate reward track connected to Date Night.
It has two paths: Free and VIP. Rewards unlock as specific Date Night items are discovered.
What Are VIP Rewards?
The VIP path is optional and adds extra rewards to Pawsome Progress.
VIP rewards can include coins, card packs, Shovel, Kettlebell, Dynamite, and other prizes.
VIP does not change the merge system. It simply adds more rewards.
