Is Gardenscapes Testing a Repeatable Gnome Treasure?

Gardenscapes may be testing a repeatable version of Gnome Treasure. Some accounts restart after Stage 5, while others still end normally.

Something unusual is happening with Gnome Treasure in Gardenscapes. Accounts monitored by our team are not all showing the same behavior after the event is completed, which suggests that Playrix may be testing a new version with selected players.

On some accounts, Gnome Treasure ends normally after completing the five Gnome Treasure stages and collecting the final reward. On others, the event immediately starts over from Stage 1.

What Happens on the Accounts That Get a Restart?

The second run is not a harder version or a separate bonus round. It appears to be the same Gnome Treasure again.

  • There are 5 stages again.
  • There are 5 rewards again.
  • The structure remains the same.
  • The rewards are the same as in the first run.
  • The event returns to Stage 1 after Stage 5 is completed.

Players who receive this version can therefore complete another full Gnome Treasure run and collect the same set of rewards again while the event is still active.

Why This Looks Like a Test

The key detail is that the restart does not appear on every account. Other accounts monitored by our team completed the same event but did not receive a second run.

That makes a universal change unlikely at this stage and points instead to a limited test or gradual rollout.

We cannot yet confirm how Playrix is selecting the accounts that receive the repeatable version. The difference could be connected to individual accounts, test groups, platforms, regions, or another internal factor. There is not enough evidence to link it specifically to PC, Microsoft, Android, iOS, or any other platform.

What Playrix Officially Says

Playrix currently describes Gnome Treasure as a recurring event on its official support page. It states that the event has five stages, that each completed stage gives a reward, and that the event lasts four days.

However, the official description does not say what happens after the final Gnome Treasure stage or whether the event can restart immediately after Stage 5.

This distinction matters. A “recurring event” normally means an event that returns again at different times. It does not necessarily mean that the same active event starts over immediately after completion.

Gnome Treasure Also Has a New Design

The current version of Gnome Treasure has also received a new design.

The presentation of the event has changed, while the basic gameplay remains familiar. Players still earn pickaxes by completing regular match-3 levels and use them to clear obstacles and uncover the hidden objects required to finish each stage.

The redesigned event appearing at the same time as the different restart behavior makes this update especially interesting, although the new design does not mean that every account is receiving the repeatable version.

Are the Second-Run Rewards Different?

No difference has been observed so far. On accounts where Gnome Treasure restarts, the second run offers the same five rewards as the first run.

There is no special bonus, larger reward, or upgraded final prize. The advantage is simply the opportunity to complete the five stages again and collect the rewards a second time.

Can Gnome Treasure Restart More Than Once?

That has not been confirmed yet.

We know that some accounts can begin a second run after completing the first five stages. We do not yet know whether completing that second run leads to a third one, or whether the event stops there.

For that reason, it would be too early to describe Gnome Treasure as an unlimited repeatable event. The fact that events can behave differently between players also means that results from one account should not automatically be treated as a change for everyone.

Conclusion

Current evidence suggests that Playrix may be testing a repeatable version of Gnome Treasure with selected Gardenscapes accounts.

Some accounts still finish the event normally after Stage 5, while others immediately return to Stage 1 and receive another complete five-stage run with the same rewards.

Until this behavior appears more widely or Playrix provides an official explanation, it should be treated as a limited or experimental feature rather than a confirmed change for all players.
