Electric Showdown Epic event screen in Gardenscapes showing the new 30-minute Grand Prize competition mode

Electric Showdown Epic is a different visible version of the standard Electric Showdown event in Gardenscapes. The event keeps the same main name, but several parts of the interface, timing and event description are different from the regular version most players are familiar with.

The standard Electric Showdown normally appears with a blue interface and a description that says players compete with unlimited lives for one hour. The Electric Showdown Epic version instead uses a purple interface and displays different event text directly inside the event window.

What the Electric Showdown Epic screen shows

The title at the top still says Electric Showdown, but the word Epic appears directly underneath it.

The main description visible in the event says:

“Compete with players for 30 minutes! The best player wins the Grand Prize!”

This means the Epic version visibly uses a 30-minute competition instead of the standard one-hour format shown in the normal Electric Showdown event.

The event screen also includes:

  • a purple interface instead of blue
  • a central glowing energy sphere inside a glass container
  • a Start button with unlimited lives
  • an additional lightning button next to the Start button
  • a visible Grand Prize mention for the top player

How the normal Electric Showdown works

The regular Electric Showdown version uses a blue interface and normally displays the following message:

“Compete with other players using unlimited lives for 1 hour!”

Unlike the Epic version, the normal event does not display the word Epic and does not mention a Grand Prize.

The regular version also shows a visible timer at the top of the event window.

The visible differences between both versions

  • The Epic version uses a purple event interface.
  • The standard version uses a blue interface.
  • The Epic version displays the word Epic.
  • The Epic version shows a 30-minute competition.
  • The standard version shows a 1-hour competition.
  • The Epic version specifically says the best player wins the Grand Prize.
  • The button layout is different between both versions.

How Electric Showdown Epic appears to work

Based on the event description shown on the screen, Electric Showdown Epic works as a timed player competition lasting 30 minutes where players compete for the highest position and the top player receives the Grand Prize.

The event still includes unlimited lives through the Start button, meaning players can continue playing levels during the active competition period.

The faster 30-minute structure creates a shorter competition window than the regular Electric Showdown format.

The faster structure shown in Electric Showdown Epic changes the pace of the competition compared to the standard version of the event, especially during sudden leaderboard swings already visible in Why Does One Player Always Jump Ahead Early in Gardenscapes Electric Showdown.

The overall event presentation also feels more competitive than the standard version because the wording focuses directly on a single winning player and a Grand Prize reward.

Conclusion

Electric Showdown Epic is a visible alternate version of Electric Showdown that changes the event interface, event wording and competition duration. The Epic version uses a purple design, a 30-minute competition format and a Grand Prize description for the top player, while the standard Electric Showdown continues using the familiar one-hour format with the regular blue interface.
